Verizon’s HTC One Could Come with Android 4.2.2 Pre-Installed; But When?

Friday 31st of May 2013 / androidheadlines.com
The Verizon HTC One’s rumor mill seems to have an endless supply of rumors. We’ve been hearing rumors of the Verizon HTC One, pretty much since the day HTC announced the One for T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T. And they are still going. The latest rumor is coming out a HTC ROM developer, LLABTOOFER on Twitter, who was right about the HTC One ‘Google Edition’ which is the main reason why we give him a bit of credibility. But remember this is still a rumor and nothing is official, so be sure to take this all with a grain of salt.Right now the HTC One is running Android 4.1.2 – Jelly Bean. It’s not the latest, but it still better than running Android 4.0. Well according to this HTC ROM developer, the Verizon HTC One could launch with Android 4.2.2 on board. Now that would be a huge advantage for Verizon, depending on when they launch their HTC One, or if they launch it. We’ve also heard that the Android 4.2.2 update will be hitting the HTC One this summer for all the variants out there right now. While the HTC One ‘Google Edition’ is g

Swiping up to "Google Now" on Google Edition Sprint S4 Rom

Thursday 15th of August 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hello, I was wondering if someone could help me. I recently installed the Google Edition 4.2.2 Rom for my Sprint S4. I noticed that on the lock screen there is no option to swipe up to Google Now. There is also no option on the homescreen to swipe up from the application button to Google Now. Is this not a stock feature for jellybean? I remember I installed stock jellybean on my old s3 a while back, and on the lock screen I could set the swipe to - swipe left for camera, - swipe up for google now, - swipe right to unlock. Is this not a stock feature? Any help would be greatly appreciated...thank guys!

Bricked My Phone

Friday 13th of September 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Well, I was running TWRP with the stock ROM for a while. Eventually, a few hours ago, I decided to install Android Revolution 4.3 Jelly Bean Google Play Edition... So I downloaded the .zip file for the new ROM, copied it into the root folder of my HTC One (main directory) and restarted my phone into the bootloader... I then went into recovery of TWRP and selected Install... Then I selected the Android Revolution 4.3 file and swiped the screen to install it... Everything went well while installing it, but then... Once it rebooted when finished, it's now stuck in the bootloader screen and I can't seem to do anything to get out of it. So I googled information on how to "unbrick" the HTC One... That's when I was advised to "relock" my HTC One with command "fastboot oem lock"... It relocked the phone. Then I was advised to download and unzip the Sprint RUU for version 1.29.xxxxxxx..... But that's where things failed when it tried to reinstate the stock ROM from the RUU. I remember that I'm using version 1.31.xxxx (the latest OTA). So my question is.... should

I need help Unrooting and relocking HTC One C Spire

Tuesday 19th of November 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hello! A few months ago I rooted my HTC One in hopes of installing the Google Play Edition ROM on my phone. I found out that the CSpire HTC One has to use Sprint variants of ROMS and recoveries. After rooting I found out that the GE ROM does not work with sprint. Now I am wanting to relock my bootloader and unroot my device. I can not seem to find the CSpire HTC One RUU files. Does anyone know where I may find them? Do I need to use the Sprint files? I'm not sure that they would work with a CSpire device. Now I just want my phone to be stock so that I can use OTA android updates without worry. I'm currently on android 4.2.2 using TWRP and SuperSU. Sadly there is not much support for C Spire. It's a very small carrier and doesn't receive a lot of attention. Thanks!
