Go SMS Pro Double Notification (same app)

Wednesday 25th of July 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hey there! Just switched over from being a long time iPhone user and I am having some troubles with Go SMS Pro. I enabled the group messaging and MMS options (group messaging is working fine), but whenever someone in the group thread replies, I get a notification that they have replied and that reply contains nothing. Not but 1 to 2 seconds later I get another notification from the group thread and it shows up there. I have disabled notifications from the default messaging app and all that fun stuff. I have no idea on why this is happening and I am turning to you guys for some help. Thanks so much! - Colin

Go SMS Pro - MMS/Picture/Chat problem?

Monday 16th of January 2012 / androidforums.com
Hi folks, first post here, rather fresh to Android system, but managed so far and things works smoothly :-) Yet, one hickup has emerged with my favorite app till now, and that is the GO SMS Pro.So to try to narrow the problem, here is what works fine:In the private box area, I have one private thread and pictures and everything works like a charm, on both phones (Galaxy S2 & Xperia ray).- Then, to save some money, we sms and MMS alot, we switched to "Go SMS chat" and enabled it. Then, all the pictures (MMS) were gone, including the text that came with them, removed from the thread (on both phones).- Ok, I've googled alot to solve this problem, send mail quite a few times to Go group but nothing so far.- Then, I moved the thread out of the private box area, and THEN all the pictures (MMS including txt) were showing.. - Moved it back, gone again.- Also, sending and recieveing is not possible. Lets say I make one ready to send, it apperantly does but other side doesent get the MMS and it is gone from the thread (also on my og the other sides).- We both tried to turn of the

Go SMS Pro: Individual Notification from web based text.

Sunday 05th of June 2011 / forums.androidcentral.com
Go SMS v3.38HTC Droid Inc 2 -- Software v2.2.1 Howdy all, I am trying to find a way to configure "individual notifications" for text messages that are sent from a web-based app (such as Verizon Text), but more specifically my work, which the address comes as ( ). I am using Go SMS which I like a lot, and I CAN configure custom individual notification sounds for contacts that have phones listed. If I get a text from work, the message details say ( ) in the message details, then if I go to "Individual Settings" in the thread in Go SMS and select "Individual Settings -- Notification", it doesnt do anything, such as bring up another menu. Long story short, I am trying to setup a unique audible notification whenever I get a text from my work, which uses a paging application and comes thru at (work.notification@myemployer.com). I sent a page from Verizon Text site, and it doesn't work from that either, seems to be only when it can associate a text with a valid cell-phone number. I have my ( ) setup as a Contact. Thanks,EyeSweller

GO SMS Pro - MMS (sending pictures) Problem/Fix

Sunday 16th of October 2011 / androidforums.com
First off, I'm new to this forum so if this should be moved elsewhere please feel free to move it or let me know. I searched around before creating this new thread but couldn't find something on what I'm about to talk about. There is a troubleshoot guide already in existence (from motorolatriumphhacks website), but that did not fix my problem completely. This shouldn't be a problem if you didn't delete the stock messaging app, but I did delete mine. Here's what to do first (from that site):In GO SMS press the Menu key.Select Settings->MMS settings->APN ConfigurationPut a checkmark next to Fill APN Configuration ManuallyFill in the following:MMSC: http://mmsc.vmobl.com:8088/mms?type=null ***If there is an error remove type=null (mine contains type=null)MMS Proxy:205.239.233.136MMS Port: 81(I tried some other settings where 8088 was 8080 didn't work, and where the first part of the url (mmsc) was missing, and same thing didn't work)Even after I changed these settings, I was still unable to send/receive pictures. I thought it was something with the network since my 3G signal at the

Hey guys, I have an S3, and have been using go sms pro for a while but just recently found out about the DIY themes. The problem is that when I try to download any, it sends it to my download list and they fail to download immediately. I've uninstalled the app multiple times but that hasn't worked. Any one know of a way to solve this issue? Thank you in advance!

Go SMS Pro - MMS notification not working

Friday 28th of June 2013 / androidforums.com
Hello!Previously, I had disabled my Samsung Galaxy SII stock messaging application and Go SMS Pro worked perfectly (has been for the past couple of months). Today, I found out that I have not been able to receive MMS (picture messages) for the past couple of days. I have since re-enabled the stock messaging application and am once again able to receive picture messages. However, even with the stock messaging app enabled, Go SMS Pro does not give me a notification that I have received a MMS (only the stock app gives me a notification)Model: SGH-T989Android version: 4.1.2Anyone have a similar problem? And if so, are there any solutions? Thanks for any help -- this problem has been driving me crazy all day!

Go sms pro private box: not working cause of the +1 area code

Saturday 19th of October 2013 / androidforums.com
Dear all,I am having some big trouble with go sms pro private box. I have the paid version. I added from my contacts all the contacts that I want to be private. It happened that when some of those contacts text me the message and notification are correctly private, while for others they are received in the normal folder (and have a standard notification). I double checked and the contact name and number were correctly displayed on the list of private contacts but the text appears in the normal received text message list. Only one slight difference: the number saved in the contact list is always different from the number on the received text underneath the name, and the difference is related to the international american area code. I was not able to figure out exactly which is the problem but basically sometimes I receive messages with the right name but the number (lets say 999-999-9999) shows up as any of these three999-999-99991999-999-9999+1999-999-9999So basically if I save my number as 999-999-9999 sometimes I dont get it on the private box and it shows up with the rite name and
