Gmail for Android to bring pinch-to-zoom, swipe to delete features [VIDEO]

Friday 12th of October 2012 / phandroid.com
Since the beginning of time Gmail has been sorely missing one very important, key feature. I think you all know which feature I’m talking about — the ability to pinch to zoom. How to enable Gmail 4.2 swipe and zoom features

Monday 03rd of December 2012 / androidcentral.com
Starting today, that fancy new Gmail update -- version 4.2 -- is bringing the much-requested features of pinch-to-zoom and swipe-to-delete to any device running Ice Cream Sandwich or later. It's not the best solution, but it's probably better than dealing with completely broken HTML emails.Swipe-to-deleteUsing a swipe gesture to delete messages in Gmail is very intuitive and easy to use, especially when it ties into the swiping muscle memory you get from clearing individual notifications in Android. Head to the same settings menu, and tap into "Swiping conversation list," then choose

Apparently the new Gmail update that will come with Android 4.2 will include several new features, including pinch-to-zoom. Apparently, there's a whole lot more to the new mobile version of Gmail than just that, however. Gmail Swipe to Delete

Wednesday 06th of November 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I just got my Nexus 5 on KitKat and all is going great except the Gmail app. On my last phone which was running 4.2.2 I was able to swipe to delete conversations from inside the app and I could delete messages from the notifications bar. I have gone through every setting and I cannot figure out/ remember how to turn this back on. Is the option still available in KitKat?
