Samsung Adds New Perks For Galaxy Note 8.0, Tab 3, And Tab 2 10.1 Student Edition Buyers

Friday 09th of August 2013 / feedproxy.google.com
One of the biggest complaints about Samsung's latter tablet lines (aside from the plastic builds, outdated specifications, lack of storage, and oh yeah the freakin' smartphone buttons) is that they're too expensive when compared to similar Android tablets. Sammy is hoping to alleviate at least a few of these complaints with some pack-in deals for the Galaxy Note 8.0, Galaxy Tab 3 (all versions), and the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Student Edition. These rewards can be redeemed by registering your new tablet on Samsung's promotional perks page. The Galaxy Note 8.0 fares the best, which makes sense, since it's the most premium of the tablets. In addition to the $25 Google Play credit that's been active since launch and previous Hulu Plus and Boingo Wifi access, new owners can register for 50GB of free expanded Dropbox storage for two years and $50 of credit in Samsung's WatchON movie store. The Dropbox and WatchON perks are relatively new - they aren't even mentioned in the legal fine print from last month. Those who buy the new Galaxy Tab 3 in its 7-inch, 8-inch, or 10-inch variety or a Galaxy T

How to claim your Perks when you buy a Refurbished Note 2014 from Groupon

Wednesday 12th of February 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Ok, people have been thinking that you cannot claim your Samsung Perks if you buy the refurbished Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 from group on..... well you can 1st, when you get your new note look on the box and you will see a serial number beginning with RF, you will need that 2nd go to 3rd, you should already be on the Galaxy Note page, hit register, fill in your details, now when it comes to inputting your serial number do not use the one from the tablet, use the one from the plain white box beginning with RF, then put in your MAC Address from settings> general> Status 4th you will get a message telling you "thanks for registering we will send you an email", i got my email with 10 mins, make sure you check your spam folder or on Gmail check your promotions folder as it will go there. 5th open email.... Galaxy Perks

Tuesday 25th of February 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
I finally grabbed myself one of these on Sunday, and I'm still getting used to it/figuring it out (coming from an iPad 1). I've registered my device (and logged into samsung apps). However I never received an email about the google play credit (from perks). I got the dropbox one, but that was it. If I try to log in via the website on my laptop it always says my password is wrong and I have to reset it, once in it shows the device as registered. I've contacted Samsung and they've told me it'll take 7 business days to receive the email. Did everyone else have to wait this long or have any problems?

Samsung Galaxy TabPRO 12.2 Available March 9th For $650

Wednesday 05th of March 2014 / feedproxy.google.com
Samsung's previously announced TabPRO 12.2 finally has a release date – March 9th. The giant tablet will cost $649.99 through retailers like Best Buy, Amazon, Newegg, and direct from Samsung. This device is basically the new NotePRO without the stylus, but you don't really have many choices in huge tablets. Samsung is the only game in town. The TabPRO will run Android 4.4.2 with Samsung's new magazine UX interface. Inside is a Samsung Exynos 5 Octa processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. The 2560x1600 LCD makes it a fair bit larger than competing tablets. $650 seems like a substantial sum of cash, but Samsung is also throwing in $800 in bundled content through its Galaxy Perks program, assuming of course you care about any of that in the first place. You get $25 in Google Play credit, 3 months of Hulu Plus, 3 Audible books, 50GB of Dropbox, and a few other things. [Samsung] Tags:Samsung tablets TabPRO

PayPal announces fingerprint based payments on the Galaxy S 5, plus Gear 2 and Gear Fit apps

Friday 11th of April 2014 / feedproxy.google.com
Samsung and PayPal worked closely together to get payment support set up with the Galaxy S 5′s fingerprint scanner, and today PayPal officially announced fingerprint-based payments would be going live in 25 countries. The system uses a fingerprint to log into a user’s PayPal account where they can check and manage their balance as well as make mobile and online payments at any retailer that supports PayPal. On top of that handy new feature, PayPal has also announced there will be a PayPal app for the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo, and Gear Fit that lets you check your account balance and send and receive money through PayPal.To push adoption of this service, PayPal is giving away $50 in promotional offers for people that buy a Galaxy S 5. Putting that promotion on top of the tons of freebies Samsung throws in with their Galaxy Perks, and the S 5 might be the most overloaded device ever released. If you’re buying an S 5 anytime soon, be sure to check out these PayPal payments.source: PayPal» See more articles by Jared Peters//

Tuesday 08th of July 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
So I read the other thread about refurbed tablets.....then I found the promotion online describing all the perks I'd get for buying a SG Note 10.1 2014 Edition here I bought mine July 3rd I think. I went to one of Samsung's webpages to find the owner's manual and also registered my device there. All I got was an email offering me 50% off Samsung accessories bought directly from Samsung: "Philip, your gift for registering your Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition" After I read the Samsung Perks promotion at the top here, I followed the instructions at the link above...it says: How to Redeem Your Perks Wi-Fi Only Models:Register here and follow the prompts to redeem.Carrier-Specific Models:If you already have a Samsung Account, open Samsung GALAXY Apps on your device. If your device is not already registered, tap "Sign In" or "Accounts" in Samsung GALAXY Apps and follow the prompts to register your device. An email will be sent to you with all of your perks. So there is no "Samsung Galaxy Apps" installed on my Verizon 4G 10.1 2014.....hhmmm....I found m
