T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 gets multi-window update today

Wednesday 19th of December 2012 / androidauthority.com
Today is December 19, and that means T-Mobile should roll out a firmware update for the Galaxy Note 2… just about now.According to forum reports, the folks at the Magenta network have indeed begun updating the popular phablet. The standout feature of the update is, of course, the ability to run several apps at once in separate windows, thanks to Samsung’s unique Multi-Window capability. Not all apps are supported, but nevertheless, the feature should provide a boost to your mobile productivity. The T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 update doesn’t change the number of the Android version (it’s still Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean) which is a bit strange considering that other phones got the Multi-Window feature in Android 4.1.2. Regardless of the naming convention, the new firmware brings some performance improvements and bug fixes. The most glaring issues solved in this software release are the missing events in Calendar problem and the freezing Gmail app bug.Weighing in at close to 74MB, the latest T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 update should be coming your way any time now. If you haven’t been ale

T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 getting multi-view update December 19th

Monday 17th of December 2012 / phandroid.com
The marvelous feature known as multi-view on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 finally looks to come to T-Mobile users starting December 19th as the carrier has confirmed the news on its support site. This feature allows you to use two select apps at a time. For instance, I could be watching a YouTube video while browsing my Facebook time line at the same time. It’s pretty remarkable.By select apps, you’ll know that this feature will be limited to most Samsung-created apps, possibly a few Google apps and possibly a few third party apps such as Facebook and Twitter. Verizon users were shocked to find out that absolutely no Google apps, nor Facebook or Twitter, were available to use with their version of multi-view so nothing is guaranteed.Developers can add code to an APK’s manifest to make the apps compatible with multi-view, but most apps in the Play Store are not coded in this way. You could petition your favorite developers to figure out how to added support and deliver it in an update, but know that it’s not guaranteed to happen, and that it might not be the best

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 update is now being pushed to the Canadian variants of the smartphone. The new OTA update is being rolled out for the unlocked handsets and for both the Mobilicity Galaxy Note 2 SGH-T889V and Videotron Galaxy Note 2 SGH-T999V, therefore you should check your notifications for the system update message. The Android 4.3 update for the Canadian Galaxy Note 2 is being rolled out in phases, which means that not all users will be able to download and install it right away.
