Line2 update adds tablet support, MMS, and a redesigned UI

Tuesday 02nd of April 2013 / androidcentral.com
The app that brings a premium VoIP solution to Android gets clearer audio and new features.First released for Android way back in early 2011, Line2lets its users make phone calls and send texts using only a data connection -- no carrier minutes or texts required. True to its name, it gives subscribers a second phone number that the app uses for sending and receiving calls and texts. The latest update enables picture messaging (MMS), and adds support for Android tablets. Even over a slow DSL connection, call quality was surprisingly good on my Nexus 7. The revamped UI is a welcomed addition as well; it matches Android's Holodesign quite nicely.Free accounts can only make calls and send texts to other Line2 users (incoming voicemails and texts can still come from anywhere). For a fully functional experience, a subscription fee of $9.95 a month is required. This buys you unlimited calls and texts to the U.S. and Canada, along with a host of other goodies like call forwarding and visual voicemail.Hit the Play Store link at the top to check it out Line2's latest version.

Thursday 27th of December 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
Ok so I have two phones. One is a dedicated work phone for my business a non smart phone. I have a Samsung s3 for personal use with a different number and area code. I also have a Samsung Note tablet. I want to have all my calls and texts forwarded from my work phone to my personal phone or tablet . But when I call or text clients back I want my work number to come up. Is this even possible? I have an unlimited data text and 1500 mins family plan with five lines.

I read this thread already:forwarding texts and calls to tablet from phoneAndrew posted there but hasn't been active for more than a year so I want to bring it up to any other expert users.I am ready to get a 4G/LTE tablet, but I want to know how I can use my Tablet to get my calls from my actual number or my Google Voice number WITHOUT porting that number. I use mightText for syncing text messages, so I'm fine with that part, I particularly just need to resolve the phone part of things. Also - before another person writes GrooveIP or whatever it's called, they have the follow disclaimer now:Special note for existing GrooVe IP for Google Voice users: GrooVe IP will no longer support Google Voice users from May 15, 2014. This is so because Google is discontinuing third party access to Google Voice on that date. We encourage all existing GrooVe IP for Google Voice users to switch to the new GrooVe IP service (based on Ring. To), the features of which are described above. If you wish to keep using your Goo
