I have an Acer Iconia Tab 500. I have on my SD card a few videos

Wednesday 10th of April 2013 / justanswer.com
I have an Acer Iconia Tab 500. I have on my SD card a few videos (converted from a DVD into a MP4) which are displayed as VST files. After a while the video is interupted. When the interuption starts it gets worse and the video stops. I also see in the video files that suddenly more VST files appear, most of them empty. What can I do?

Acer Iconia Tab A500 Is A 1GHz Honeycomb Tablet For Less Than $450

Friday 08th of April 2011 / everythingandroid.org
Proving once again that it’s price that the tablet wars will be fought on, Acer’s new entry into the world of Android tablets is a remarkably affordable one. The Acer Iconia Tab A500 has a 10-inch screen, 1280×800 resolution, 1GHz Tegra 250 processor, 16GB of memory, weighs 1.69 lbs, and is a 1/2 inch thick. It’ll have front and back cameras, 2MP and 5MP respectively. While certainly nice sounding, there’s not too much to distance the A500 from other tablets, apart from the rather nice price point — but Acer is estimating 8 hours of video playback on a single charge, which is a pretty impressive stat, if accurate. The device is up for pre-order at Best Buy from today for $449.99, and will go on sale April 24th.[via CrunchGear, full press release follows:]Acer Iconia Tab A500 Tablet Super-Charges Mobile HD Entertainment, ConnectivityFirst Acer Tablet with Android 3.0 for US Market Now Available for Pre-Order at Best Buy; Provides Superior Mobile Entertainment, Connection to Internet, Games, Movies, Social NetworksSAN JOSE, Calif., April 8, 2011 – Acer Am

iPhone Notifications: Banner and bubble notifications like those on the iPhone's iOS 5 - Android Authority

Monday 04th of June 2012 / androidauthority.com
Admit it–at one point or another, you’ve wanted to sport an iOS feel on your Android device, most especially some features of iOS that are currently not available on the Android platform. Apple and Google had already been in a fierce competition before. They even went to court, with Apple protesting that Google copied some elements of iOS user interface. Google, on the other hand, also filed a copyright infringement stating that Apple did the same.Nevertheless, iOS and Android are both wonderful platforms and you could never compare apples and oranges, but at the same time, they share common characteristics. You can never have the best of both worlds, but this cliché will soon change as users taste a bit of iOS goodness on their Android devices.Android and iOS are two different worlds, each having its own set of pros and cons. Nevertheless, they have special features exclusive to their ecosystems. Thanks to the numerous apps on the Google Play Store, getting that iOS feel on your Android phone is now possible.iOS 5’s notification bar–or, at least, something that look

Acer Iconia Tab B1-A71 brings 7-inch tablet for $150

Monday 07th of January 2013 / phandroid.com
Among the first to bat at CES was Acer as it wasted no time announcing its latest wares at the trade show. The OEM announced the Acer Iconia Tab B1-A71, and as unattractive as its name is it definitely makes up for it in price tag. This thing will come in at $150, but you’re probably wondering what Acer had to do to get that price down so low. This 7-inch tablet comes with a MediaTek 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1,024×600 resolution, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a VGA front-facing camera, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and more. It’s not the most exciting tale of the tape we’ve seen, but at $150 there’s not much more to ask for. Heck, even Acer knows this thing won’t be particularly attractive to the techie crowd — the OEM has targeted new users and families looking for tablets for their children in its own press release. We’re not sure when to expect the 7 inch device but the feeling is that we’ll see it by the time early Spring rolls around. It’ll be facing stiff competition as all sorts of companies look to go the 7

Acer Iconia Tab A210 Passes Through FCC

Thursday 05th of July 2012 / talkandroid.com
Acer’s new Android tablet the Iconia Tab A210 recently passed through the FCC and is scheduled for a Q3 release. The A210 is a successor to the budget friendly A200 and will keep the 10.1″ (1280 x 800) display and single front facing camera. While most of the hardware will remain the same, the major upgrade is the change from a dual core CPU to the quad core Tegra 3.  The boost in performance should keep the A210 a more than a credible performer in its desired price range. Its predecessor, the A200, started at $329 for the 8GB model.//That’s all the information available at this point, while I’m sure we will be seeing more closer to the device’s launch. Hopefully, Acer is able  to release the A210 with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on board and all the enhancements the OS brings with it.source: fccvia: engadget» See more articles by Anthony Hardy//

First Acer Iconia Tab A210 commercial insists on the tablet's software

Tuesday 31st of July 2012 / androidauthority.com
Acer has been a very busy bee in the Android tablet world this year, and the company’s most recent additions to its tab lineup can’t go unnoticed by any self-respecting tech lover. The Iconia Tab A210 has been shown off for the first time back in June without much fuss, but the 10-incher seems to be gaining some momentum.Although it doesn’t yet have an official release date or pricing details attached to its name, the new A210 might be the subject of an exciting marketing campaign, kicked off with a YouTube promotional video. The commercial, posted on Acer’s official channel just hours ago, focuses on the tab’s software first and foremost, which is a bit odd, considering that its tech specs and the supposedly advantageous quality-price ratio should actually be its strongest points. Then again, it’s nice to see one of the big-time tech manufacturers focusing more on the human aspect of a gadget, and not just on cold numbers, facts, and specs. That said, the ad surely is a first, as it runs for almost two minutes without ever mentioning a hard fact about it, be it its process

Acer Iconia Tab A210 gets a charming new ad

Wednesday 01st of August 2012 / androidheadlines.com
We’re still being left in the dark as to when Acer is planning to launch its new Iconia Tab A210, but this new advertisement we have posted for you after the jump seems to suggest that Acer is gearing up for launch. We got our first introduction to the Iconia Tab A210′s hardware back in June, and even though it’s quite similar to the Iconia Tab A200, there are a few key differences. One of those differences is the inclusion of a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, which is a significant step up for the A200′s dual-core Tegra 2 CPU.But the advertisement you see below isn’t concerned with what’s under the hood. Instead, it’s targeting…Continue Reading HereAcer Iconia Tab A210 gets a charming new adEric Abent – androidcommunity.com

Acer Iconia Tab A501 Coming To AT&T's HSPA+ Network On September 18th, And It's Actually Reasonably Priced

Thursday 12th of September 2013 / androidpolice.com
We were all left with a bad taste in our mouths after hearing AT&T's pricing for the recently announced HTC Jetstream, but if you're looking for a solid Honeycomb tablet with always-connected mobile access then check out Ma Bell's latest offering: the Acer Iconia Tab A501. Under the hood, it's the exact same device as the A500, with the inclusion of an HSPA+ radio. The nuts and bolts of it are:10.1-inch 1280x800 display 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor 1GB RAM 5MP and 2MP cameras SD card, microUSB, and microHDMI ports Android 3.2 The real sweet spot for this tablet, though, is the pricing. Unlike most other tablets, the A501 will only set you back $479 off-contract, and if you're into the idea of being attached to a data plan for the next two years (which is quite unlikely), then you can grab this little beauty for $329. Either way, the tablet has to have an applicable data plan if you want to use it away from Wi-Fi, which will set you back anywhere from $15 per month for a measly 250MB to $35 for a more reasonable 3GB.
