GO Launcher EX Receives Update, 8 New App Drawer Transitions Included – Droid Life

Thursday 15th of September 2011 / droid-life.com
Over the last couple of weeks, our buddy MrPicolas convinced us to give GO Launcher EX a shot at becoming our next home replacement app.  Since then, we have actually enjoyed the heck out of it and have yet to switch back to ADW or LauncherPro.  While it may lack some of our favorite icon packs from ADW, there are a variety of incredibly polished themes to choose from, along with enough customizations to make even the most accomplished home screen addicts drool. In today’s update, those customizations became even more robust with the addition of 8 new app drawer transitions.  If you are not familiar with GO Launcher EX or what a fancy transition looks like in your app drawer, we have attached a quick screencast for you below.  Market LinkIf you are wondering what my setup is, I’m using the Oreo Slice Wallpaper pack and the Clee 2 GO Launcher theme.Cheers Picolas!

[GO Launcher Ex Theme] Dcomobile Brings Yet Another Awesome ICS Theme

Tuesday 31st of January 2012 / androidspin.com
A little while back, I did review on a  GO Launcher Ex theme called Ice Cream Sandwich Pro theme  by dcomobile. I even called it the best ICS theme that I have ever come across. Well they have done it again with a new ICS theme. They should drive an ice cream truck. In comes their new ICS Pro WHITE Blue Go Launcher Ex theme. They have basically taken their pretty original ICS Pro and brightened it up by turning black into white. Who says once you go black you never go back?#gallery-1 {margin: auto;}#gallery-1 .gallery-item {float: left;margin-top: 10px;text-align: center;width: 33%;}#gallery-1 img {border: 2px solid #cfcfcf;}#gallery-1 .gallery-caption {margin-left: 0;}The color scheme goes together very nicely. The white mixed in with that ICS blue, makes the theme taste minty. No I did not lick my computer monitor, but I was tempted. The icons look sharp with the color scheme, and I love how the widgets look because they have that similar look to the Gmail and email widgets that comes with stock ICS. What I love about dcomobile’s themes, is that their themes cover every bit

GO Dev Teams Releases GO Locker To The Market – A Lockscreen Replacement To Compliment GO Launcher EX

Tuesday 25th of October 2011 / androidheadlines.com
If you’re a GO Launcher EX user and the recently updated WidgetLocker isn’t your thing, then you may want to check out GO Locker to get your lockscreen mod fix. The initial release hit the Market earlier today — I took a few minutes to play with it, and, while it’s not as polished as WidgetLocker, it’s still a very nice option. The fact that it integrates directly into GO Launcher EX is quite nice, too; of course, this could also be a negative since it can’t be used as a standalone app.  Even if…Official Android Police t-shirts are …Continue Reading HereGO Dev Teams Releases GO Locker To The Market – A Lockscreen Replacement To Compliment GO Launcher EXCameron Summerson – rss.feedsportal

[GO Launcher Ex Theme] Add Some Pretty Colors to your Launcher

Tuesday 22nd of November 2011 / androidspin.com
With all the talk about the Galaxy Nexus (or should I say Nexus Prime now) how about we add some nexus “theme-age”  to our Go launcher Ex phones. BRIONICthemes has created a pretty little Nexus theme that is just full of color to make your screen pop. It definitely caught my eye when I randomly came across it in the market, while I was doing my Go Launcher Ex daily search for themes. Yeah that is correct. I search daily for these themes just for you. Well myself as well. Check out the screen shots below and try not to fall into a psychedelic state.#gallery-1 {margin: auto;}#gallery-1 .gallery-item {float: left;margin-top: 10px;text-align: center;width: 33%;}#gallery-1 img {border: 2px solid #cfcfcf;}#gallery-1 .gallery-caption {margin-left: 0;}Can’t keep your eyes off it huh? This theme will run you a random 1.72 so not to damaging to the wallet there. Still not sold yet? Check out the features it has:TEN ultra high-resolution ‘Ultimate Nexus’ wallpapers, custom designed with the colors and style seen in the Nexus family.Includes a ‘Ultimate

Tip: App Icon Pinching In GO Launcher EX - Can Your Launcher Do This?

Thursday 26th of September 2013 / androidpolice.com
As a fan of first Launcher Pro Plus, then ADW EX, and now GO Launcher EX (which is absolutely free, by the way), I wanted to show you guys a recent addition to the latter that made it stand out from the rest of the pack even more than it already does. Lately, LPP hasn't given me any reasons to continue using it whatsoever - the app seems to have been abandoned by Fede, and ADW EX, while a very worthy opponent, also fell victim to GO team's fine offering.Imagine that you want to organize your busy homescreen and swap some icons around. What do you do? In Launcher Pro or Sense, I either had to remove one of the icons or move it to another homescreen, then start swapping things around using empty space as temporary holders. Not with GO Launcher EX - a recent addition called app pinching lets me perform the same task much more elegantly. Shall I demonstrate?Switch to 720p for best claritySuch a natural and simple movement, isn't it? Yet, I haven't seen anything similar in other launchers (why?). If you're familiar with iOS, what I just showed you shouldn't look too surprising, but I'm no

Go Launcher Ex Gets A Little Bit Of An Update Today

Tuesday 29th of November 2011 / androidspin.com
First I would like to apologize to you fellow Go Launcher Ex users, because I pretty much started the Go Launcher craze on this site with my very first article comparing the launcher to ADW and Launcher Pro. After that, I started posting about updates, themes, as well as all the features that came with it such as GOSMS, GO contacts, and GO Widgets. I have not really been keeping up with all the stuff I have found with the launcher I love so much, but I will get on it! More posts for the awesome launcher in the weeks to come! Now that I got that out of my system, Go Launcher Ex got a nice little update today. I always get excited when I look in my apps folder for updates and see Go Launcher Ex listed there waiting for me to update it. Sometimes it is little minor updates, but anything that helps it out is fine by me. Check out what the new update brings:(New) Option for hiding icon background (in visual settings)(New) Supports custom font size of icon label(Improve) Operation experience of app drawer folder(Improve) Home screen icon extrusion effect(Fix) Error icon preview of folderS

[GO Launcher EX Theme] Beginning 2012

Wednesday 21st of December 2011 / androidspin.com
Bring in the new year with a new Go Launcher EX Theme! Actually beyond the cheesy new year references this is a pretty slick theme. I really like it’s simple materialistic (dare I say ICS like) lines. But it’s definitely not yet another Ice Cream Sandwich theme. Beginning 2012 is different from most that I’ve seen and so far I’m really enjoying it.Maybe it’s more Tron than ICS… but turn on the Cube (outside) transition and the theme takes on new life. The sphere transition effect could be another winner. I’m not sure I like the wallpaper though. I’m sticking with it for now but the line in the middle of the screen made my 4×2 Beautiful Widgets Super clock look funky so I switched to the 4×1 view. Make sure that you set the “Wallpaper mode” (under preferences->Screen Settings->Wallpaper mode) to “Vertical screen mode” to make sure that the default wallpaper shows correctly. One thing I can’t stand is when half my icons are replaced while leaving another half stock. It just looks sloppy. Fo

Touchwiz Home or Go Launcher Ex

Thursday 07th of June 2012 / androidforums.com
Hello all Firstly Im brand new to Android, and brand new to Samsung phones and obviously the S3. I finally moved away from iPhone after 4 long years and am impressed with my new phone, but also confused as so many options and features. A friend of mine simply said 'get go launcher ex' and left it at that. I dont really know what it is but I downloaded it and now every time I press the home button I am asked do I want to use TouchWiz Home or Go Launcher and Im not sure whats best or why I should use one over the other? I have realised Go Launcher is a different laucher and yet I cant work out whats different apart from the fact it shows me a completely different home screen and contains none of the apps and widgets Id spent a while setting up. Also the one time I chose to use it a default I couldnt work out how to get back to the touchwiz pages ever so deleted the app and reinstalled Basically should I use Go Launcher instead of Touchwiz ie set it as default? and if so Why? I realise perhaps this may be covered somewhere else in forum so apologies upfront if it is and feel free to lin
