Problems with note 3

Tuesday 08th of October 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Has anyone noticed that the Galaxy Note 3 appears to have consistently lower signal strength then a galaxy note 2 . I've tested both side by side driving down the road and it is apparent to the point that I will drop calls on the Note 3 in areas that never dropped calls on the Galaxy Note 2 Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using AC Forums mobile app

Samsung Galaxy - Cracked Screen Defect, not dropped, Note 3 & Note 2, S4 & S3

Monday 04th of November 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
On October 19, 2013, I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for $349.99 plus taxes of $21.00 at Best Buy store (1087) in York, PA. At a quick glance it seemed like there was nothing wrong with it. The next day I noticed a slight refracting thin line of glare on the screen while web browsing and watching Youtube. I thought it was maybe a finger prints or something. Upon further inspection of the the phone on that day, I noticed it was a small scratch, nick, or something under the screen of the phone. It was located approximately one inch from the top left hand side of the phone toward the middle of the screen. I tried calling Bust Buy, but it was after regular business hours. With further normal use of the phone (charging, texting, phone calls, using GPS, and web browsing) I realized it was getting bigger. It began spread from top of the screen to the bottom of the screen. Remind you I have just gotten the phone. I did not drop it, apply any pressure to the screen or handle it wrong in any way. I called the Best Buy store again on during normal business hours where I purchased the phon

Battery Issue with the Note 3

Monday 18th of November 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hi guys. A month a go i bought a UK (Vodafone) Note 3 and i must say i love the phone. The first couple of weeks the Note started crashing every time i was about start an app or type something, so it went back to vodafone and they replaced it with a new one. So far after reading reviews more about the Note 3, I hear people are claiming they are getting a day and half of battery life at least on a single charge ( heavy use). But mines doesn't last a day if i watch a few youtube videos, Facebook and whatsapp. This afternoon i finished charging my phone at 2pm then i opened the Facebook app for no more than 2min then the battery dropped 2% from a 100. So now its 11.50pm and i've got 45% battery life left and all i've been doing is going on Facebook for 10mins made 3 phone calls (less than 2mins) Watched two 15secs video clip and sent 6 messages. Doesn't sound right on the Noe 3 right? I read a post about a guy who watched a 2hour video on full brightness and only took 10% of battery life. So what should i do guys? my Gps Bluetooth are all off and the brightness is set to auto.

Dropped calls and data connectivity (sprint)

Thursday 28th of November 2013 / androidforums.com
I'm planning on getting a new note 3 and when reading around on the device I see that a lot of people been experiencing dropped calls and poor connectivity to the internet. I also noticed there was an update to correct the dropped call issue but no one ever commented on weather it improved. Everything looks great on the device but I would hate to not be able to make quality calls and have poor internet and wifi connections. Any input would be great. Btw I have sprint as a carrier, thanks

Galaxy Note 3 - Dropping service signal

Monday 02nd of December 2013 / androidforums.com
I took ownership of my Note 3 on Friday. A lovely phone, even better if I could make calls from it and text! All ok on Friday. Then Saturday it dropped signal and since haven't been able to get signal since. The phone seems to be recieving data streaming ok, Like emails etc. Though I can't get phone signal. Can't make/recieve calls nor text. Its getting very annoying. I visited the vodaphone store today. They replaced the SIM card. I waited an hour until turned it on and the same problem appeared again. I managed to get signal for first 20 seconds then it shut off. This is the same everytime. I get about 1 min of service and send a text then it completely drops the signal saying no service. Has anyone else had this issue with there Note 3. I have raised this with Vodaphone UK, though they reckon it's the network. I think a faulty phone.

Just got my GN3 a few weeks ago and I've had issues on Sprint with dropped calls. Anyone else having issues? I know it may be based on area, but I would like to eliminate any other possibilities.

Random drop calls

Sunday 23rd of February 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
My gf and I both had note 3 since it came out. We never dropped our phones hard on the ground, but we've been getting dropped calls and bad reception for a past month. We usually talk on the phone at night, but after about an hour or so, it randomly drops the call but not everyday. I'm thinking about going tothe store and replace our phones, but has this happen to anyone here? Posted via Android Central App

Is this a Samsung thing, a Note thing, an Android thing, an AT&T thing, or nothing?

Wednesday 21st of May 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Has anyone else had......missed call issues with their note 3? I've had two people in the past three days tell me they've called me, and I have not received the call. Like it literally does not show up in call logs at all. I know that can happen when a phone is out of service, or turned off, but this was not the case in either situation. The first situation, I was texting back and forth with my husband when he decided to call me instead. It never changed screens from my texting screen, never showed that I missed a call. But to him, it rang until my voicemail picked up, at which time he hung up, and texted me and asked if I was ok and why I didn't answer the phone. The next situation happened a little bit ago. My best friend told me she calls me, and I never knew. It doesn't show it anywhere. I'm not sure if I was in the midst of texting anyone or not when she called. I'm on AT&T. I don't have great bars at my house, which is where I was when my husband called. In fact, the last few days, my phone has dropped signal completely a couple of times. However, I was in a more urban ar

Verizon KitKat update causing frequent dropped calls?

Thursday 22nd of May 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
I've had my Note 3 on Verizon since last fall on release. One of the MAIN reasons I switched to Verizon from AT&T years ago was voice call quality. I am on conference calls or with clients on the phone a good 5+ hours per day. With AT&T, I'd drop a call 5-6 times while out driving around. They have well known issues with handling tower transfers of calls. Verizon...never a dropped call. I'm not exaggerating...unless I absolutely had ZERO mobile network connectivity, Verizon works, even when roaming, for voice calls. Enter KitKat. In general, everything is working fine. But I now have degraded signal in my home market (haven't traveled since the update so no ideas if this is limited to home market or not). I'm repeatedly unable to make/receive calls in many areas where I only have 2 bars, whereas before that wouldn't have been an issue. But even more maddening is being on a call and having it drop with the "Call Failed" banner across the page. Happened 8 times this morning in a span of highway I travel every day and run conference calls religiously while driving. Nev
