"Touch The Android to Begin" button after factory reset not working

Tuesday 07th of December 2010 / droidforums.net
I searched for the past four hours for a solution and haven't found anything. I have a Rooted moto droid with frg22d lithium mod rom. my Market downloads hadnt been working and i decided to reboot into clockwork rec mode. i wiped cache and did a factory reset. after i rebooted the device, as expected, i come to the first screen that says " welcome to moto droid-touch the android to begin". usually when you "touch the android" it then of course come to the login screen for your google account. but when i "touch the android" the button does nothing. it responds to my touch by lighting up white but no action follows, the login screen does not launch. any idea's? any help would be greatly greatly appreciated ive been racking my brain for hours.

Thursday 10th of February 2011 / droidforums.net
Hey.I have a droid x.I had to do a hard reset however i forgot to do the rest in clockwork and it bricked my phone. I was able to find the sbw for 30.04 but even after it gets the phone back functional i still cannot touch the screen. I dont know if the screen died or what. I can use any other sbf because of the 30.04 boot loader.Any tips to get the phone back functional.I have done resets and clear cached and formatting SD card. Thanks

Touch android to begin screen.

Saturday 11th of September 2010 / droidforums.net
Sold my Droid 1 to a guy last week and he just received it in the mail today. It was rooted and running a custom ROM. I sent him the phone and today he tells me when the phone boots it says "touch android" but when he tries and touch it nothing happens. Literally the only thing that has changed is that the phone no longer has an SD card. Would that have really screwed it up? The MicroSd that came with the phone failed a while back and I had to use a smaller one which I kept after selling the phone hence it not having one.I am worried as he is getting super pissed and is not believing me at all that the phone worked prior to shipping even though he saw pictures of me running it just before sending it.Really need help on this.EDIT: The only thing I can think of for the guy to do is a Factory Reset/ Wipe

Bypass the "Touch the Android to Begin" Screen

Thursday 02nd of June 2011 / droidforums.net
I wanted to share this with my fellow X'ers...Bypass the "Touch the Android to Begin" Screen With a Few Taps"... you can bypass the initial setup just by tapping on the four corners of the screen in a clockwise motion. It should exit the process and take you right to the home screen, no questions asked."Thought this would be useful for some folks.

Stuck at "Touch Android to Begin"

Sunday 12th of September 2010 / androidforums.com
Hello all,In a nutshell I did a factory reset and wiped cache on a rooted incredible and am now stuck at that "Touch android to begin" tutorial screen. I was running stock recovery before all of this mess because I was going to upgrade to 2.2. When I touch the android guy as opposed to going onto the regular setup it will go to the dialer except there's a grayed out "call ended" button. You can access the dialer but there's no cell connection so its useless. There's no way to escape this setup and get to anything resembling a home screen. Nothing will mount to my PC either, although its recognized as "android bootloader interface". I've been searching around the forums and it doesn't seem to be bricked as I can enter the stock recovery. I even tried to upgrade to 2.2 but I get that "status 7" error and it aborts. I had done titanium and nandroid backups before I attempted anything but I'm on stock recovery so its not like I can restore. Any help would be appreciated.
