The Best Android Twitter App is... [Droid vs Droid]

Thursday 25th of March 2010 / androinica.com
The Best Android Twitter app doesn’t exist. During our first Android Twitter App Round-Up, there were many detractors even though Twidroid was clearly at the head of the pack. With the introduction of even more apps that rival Twidroid’s virtues, there’s even less chance of a consensus. In the first edition of our new series of similar app reviews, Droid vs. Droid, we will once again revisit the bounty of Android Twitter apps in search of finding the best. Twidroid? Touiteur? Seesmic? HootSuite? There are many options, but only one can be king. Below is a comparison chart showing some of the features available in each app.Twidroid / Twidroid Pro (€3.39)Twidroid was one of the first Android Twitter apps, and it has remained one of the best. The only complaint I’ve had is that Twidroid isn’t as fast as it once was, but that hasn’t stopped it from being one of the most used apps. The Pro edition of Twidroid was among the first to introduce new features like multiple accounts, themes, and media sharing, so users can count on strong features in a good interfa

Android gets the Latest Photo Sharing app: Color

Friday 25th of March 2011 / androidheadlines.com
Color Photo-Sharing App Makes it SocialThe latest craze for apps is to be socially active in group settings. Color, an app available on iPhone and Android that shares photos with other users within a 150ft radius of you, is no different. The free app was released Wednesday and they were given $41 million to make the magic happen.More Users Make Color A Sharing ExperienceThe app is best used when around fellow users because it allows you to post videos, pictures, text publicly for all to see. This brings privacy issues to light as more and more applications aim to incorporate location based services. The question developers now have to answer is, what private information should remain private? Color, in particular, has a lot to answer for as any photos uploaded go public instead of being stored on a server for your personal viewing like Instagram. What do you think? Good or bad idea?Available for download at the Android app Market. And the winner for the best battery saver app is...

Saturday 10th of November 2012 / androidforums.com
ECO MODEi have tried just about every top rated battery saving app on the market.Even the almighty Juice Defender.Regardless of the savings they report, real life time says something else.I found i get the best battery life by reinstalling eco mode, having all items enabled except screen rotation lock, and setting it's threshold at 90%AND for some strange reason, leaving wifi ON always, which seems odd but.36 hours 1 charge, and i did use the phone even played some games.will test more to see if it is a fluke but i am thinking not. Most of those battery saver apps seem to wind up using the battery more than saving it.Anyone had similar results?

Despite Share Shot/Group Cast, the best photo sharing app is....

Thursday 01st of November 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
I'm really trying to like Share Shot/Group Cast, especially after the $100M Samsung spent on those commercials, but damn it takes 15 clicks just to setup 1 connection, and it only works between GSIII's. I don't know about you, but out of all my friends, only two of them have GSIII's. Anywho, someone told me about this app called Tapestry. It essentially is a synchronized "photo show-and-tell", but it only takes 3 clicks to get working, and it works w/ all android phones gingerbread and up. It also has nifty features like "swipe to download" which is a peer-to-peer download of photos during the slideshow, and also has synchronized pinch-and-zoom and panning. I've never seen anything like it. Anyways, don't take my word for it. Check it out yourself , and chime in here to let people know what you think.

What is the best photo album app?

Friday 09th of May 2014 / androidforums.com
Hi,I recently got my first smartphone and now I'm looking for the right apps for me.I need a good photo album app. I clean carpets so I want to be able to have a separate category for my before and after shots. Then of course the personals and I manage properties and i need the move in shots and damage shots.' I have a lot of pics on my computer and I wouldn't mind being able to import those to the app. I have not found anything like that yet. What I don't need is fancy frames and visual gimmicks or advertisements.I just need is simple and professional.I have already downloaded a bunch from the Play store but have not found anything I liked. It's all too playful. Can I get a recommendation, please?
