Video preview pictures still showing?

Friday 24th of February 2012 / androidtablets.net
There's a problem going on with my Android tablet. My Android is verson 2.3. For some reason, after deleting a video, although the video won't play, the preview picture still shows up. I've tried all that I know to see if I could get rid of them (some of them are a little... well, not something I want people to see, so. 8|). I tried clearing the data in My Videos, and in the Camera app. Still there. I tried rummaging through the file system, but everything I tried deleting that could have been related to the tag pictures kept saying "Delete failed!" I even tried factory reset and it was still there. In the end, I uninstalled "My Video" so that you can't even access videos anymore. |: But they're still there. Does anyone know this glitch? HOW do I get these video preview pictures off of there? And I'm sorry if this isn't the right forum... I'm not sure where I post stuff about technical problems. xP

After taking pictures, picture gallery shows icon and pictures are blank

Monday 30th of April 2012 / androidforums.com
Good Morning,Noticed this about a month and half ago. Had taken several pics using the stock camera on my Droid X of a damaged box that Amazon sent to me. After taking the pics, went into the gallery the next day to send them off to Amazon and noticed the pics were blank. In the gallery, there is a little icon that looks like a grey white icon where you see like a film ribbon in the back ground and a mountain shot as a pic in the foreground. If you try to open them, they just open to the same icon as is in the gallery. They delete fine but nothing there to view. Since then I have taken pics that turn out fine and then last night took about three and then this a.m. opened Gallery to find them blank as well. My Android version is 2.3.4 and my system version is 4.5.621 on Verizon.I am using the Droid X which was purchased new in November, 2010. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Things I hate about my Droid X

Saturday 06th of November 2010 / droidforums.net
So I got my Droid X a few months ago (Aug '10), thinking there would be a world of functionality waiting to open up to me by getting away from Apple and my 3G iPhone. Instead, I find myself considering a switchback because my DX annoys me more than my locked down iPhone ever did. The following is a rant about all the things that have annoyed me about my Droid X. Some are not direct Android or DX problems, but all are something that makes me want to switch back. I will try to update if anything gets fixed (software updates, new solutions), but until then... 1) Bloatware - I hate it. I understand that all I have to do is root the phone and delete a few things. But I am a busy person and dont have the time to keep up with new ROMs and pulling crap off my phone because the big guys make an extra buck by putting it there. Is my $150/mo not enough? Good lord. 2) Contacts pictures will not update - WTF? I use FB and all I want is for my contacts pictures to A) update with FB or B) keep the picture I give them if I update it manually. Give me a contact specific setting somewhere to select

Help! My Android wont sound when texted, or called.

Saturday 28th of April 2012 / droidforums.net
I've had my phone for about a year now. It's been completely fine until last week. Last week it was freezing a lot, so I decided to delete some apps, and clear the cache on some settings or whatever. Then all my pictures, and music was gone! I freaked out, waited a week, and they all came back. As soon as they did, my notification tone was set as a silly ringtone, and would only stop ringing if I went to type a message back to the person. This got extremely annoying so I turned off my phone hoping it'd go back to normal. Vibrate's on, sound's all the way up, and both my ring tone and notification setting are both set to something. If you try to call me, it says I'm unavailable. When I get a text, it's completely silent. I ran a virus program, came out clean. I cleared my dialer settings. I've tried to download new notification sound apps, it says there isn't enough room. I even cleared my setting's storage. I can't think of anything else to do. I've tried turning it on and off a couple times, as when I usually have a problem, that's the cure. I'm seriously at my wits ends. Could some

Android Forums - View Single Post - Tips GO SMS Pro - MMS (sending pictures) Problem/Fix

Sunday 16th of October 2011 / androidforums.com
First off, I'm new to this forum so if this should be moved elsewhere please feel free to move it or let me know. I searched around before creating this new thread but couldn't find something on what I'm about to talk about. There is a troubleshoot guide already in existence (from motorolatriumphhacks website), but that did not fix my problem completely. This shouldn't be a problem if you didn't delete the stock messaging app, but I did delete mine. Here's what to do first (from that site):In GO SMS press the Menu key.Select Settings->MMS settings->APN ConfigurationPut a checkmark next to Fill APN Configuration ManuallyFill in the following:MMSC: http://mmsc.vmobl.com:8088/mms?type=null ***If there is an error remove type=null (mine contains type=null)MMS Proxy:205.239.233.136MMS Port: 81(I tried some other settings where 8088 was 8080 didn't work, and where the first part of the url (mmsc) was missing, and same thing didn't work)Even after I changed these settings, I was still unable to send/receive pictures. I thought it was something with the network since my 3G signal at the

Auto Import Photos from Android Phone to iPhoto on OS X

Sunday 09th of June 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I have been using an iPhone since its inception and well, since the iPhone 5 I realized I've been wasting a ****load of money on a phone that is overpriced, underpowered and featureless. In comes the Samsung Galaxy S4 and to say I am stoked is an understatement. There are a few things that I did like with the iPhone that I have to find and learn other ways to do. Importing photos into iPhoto seamlessly is one of them. What I did before was plug in iPhone, iPhoto starts, import all, delete from source. Then I would delete crappy pics, create albums, crop edit and share away like a mindless Facebook zombie I am. To do this with my new phone wasn't easy to figure out. There are ideas of using Dropbox, don't want to rely on an external service nor do I want to sync with dropbox. It's slow. Plus I have my MacBook pictures directory syncing to a NAS that then sends off to CrashPlan. I don't want to muck with more changes and folders not to mention it's not automagic. In comes Automator. The first thing you need to do is find a service that can do a data sync on your phone. Choose whatever
