How to search contacts with T9 dialer on Nexus 4

Tuesday 07th of May 2013 / android.stackexchange.com
I had a myTouch Slide 4g rooted and running Android 4.0. I was using the default dialer that came with CyanogenMod's Google Apps ROM. I recently picked up the Nexus 4 (not rooted and the bootloader is locked), but it doesn't search through contacts when I put in numbers. Is there a way to use the default dialer to search for contacts by name or number?

Delete Multiple Contacts ?? Nexus 4

Monday 04th of March 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hi, I am using Google Nexus 4 (LG) for the past few months and I haven't been able to figure out a way to delete multiple contacts at once. All it allows me is to select a contact, click on menu and then delete it? Is this the only way? A convenient way I found was to go to the Web version of Gmail and delete/update my contacts/lists there and then sync it up to my phone- but I couldn't find an easier way to do it just using the phone. If they don't have a way then it'd be a shame since thats like one of the basic features in phones in the last 5 yrs or so.

How do I delete multiple contacts?

Sunday 14th of December 2008 / androidforums.com
I purchased a slightly used phone. The phone has over 100 contacts from previous person, as well as a bunch of the cooler appls. installed, etc. I really did not want to 'reset' to factory defaults and erase everything. Anyone know how to delete all the contacts.. yet keep other stuff on phone?

How to delete multiple contacts at once in People app?

Saturday 07th of January 2012 / androidforums.com
Just got my Galaxy Nexus. Somehow "Lookout" backed up ALLLLL my contacts (including the bazillion email addresses in my Yahoo account) into my People app. I can't figure out how to delete multiple contacts at once from the People App. I have 650+ contacts in the People App now. I only want about 75 of them in my phone! I just can't figure it out. I'm a dunce. Ugh should I just go into Lookout on my laptop and try to delete the extra contacts in there and then re-sync it??PS: When I go to Menu, then Accounts, only my gmail account shows up. I don't want to disable my gmail account from syncing. I want to get all these 650+ contacts REMOVED from my gmail account, but I can't figure that out either.

Need help transferring Blackberry texts, calendar and contacts to Nexus 4

Thursday 07th of February 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hello, I just got a Nexus 4 and I am needing help with moving my texts, calendar and contacts over. I backed up my blackberry onto my computer using the Blackberry Desktop Manager (.bbb). Is it possible to restore this back up to my Nexus 4? If this is not possible, I have my calendar and contacts synced up to Outlook, is there a way to sync it to the Nexus 4? I suppose I would loose my texts if I did the second method though... I read some forum posts about using Go Backup Pro or Titanium Backup, but I don't know if that applies in my situation. Thanks!kelseyka

Google Posts Android 4.2.1 JOP40D Factory Images And Binaries For Multiple Devices (Nexus 4, 7, Galaxy Nexus)

Friday 29th of November 2013 / androidpolice.com
If you head on over to Google's factory image site, you'll find brand-new images based on the incremental update to Android 4.2.1. The devices with factory images currently available include the Nexus 7, Nexus 7 3G, Galaxy Nexus (takju, yakju), and Nexus 4. The 4.2.1 image for the Nexus 10 has been delayed, according to JBQ, due to an issue with JOP40C not being flashable over older builds. This has since been fixed, and you can download the new 4.2 factory image for the Nexus 10, though it's still build JOP40C.This comes shortly after the rollout of the minor 4.2.1 update to numerous devices (here's the changelog).4.2.1 driver binaries are also now available for a host of devices, including the Galaxy Nexus (maguro), Nexus 10, Nexus 7 (Wi-Fi), and notably, the Verizon Galaxy Nexus. Head down to the source links to grab these new goodies now.Factory Images for Nexus Devices, Binaries for Nexus Devices Tags:4.2.1 binaries4.2.1 driver binaries4.2.1 factory image
