security - Wipe everything after failed decryption attempts, but make it usable?

Monday 05th of November 2012 / android.stackexchange.com
I have CM10 running on my rooted Galaxy Nexus and I just enabled the disk encryption. However, I can't find any options what happens after a few failed attempts? I would like to reset and wipe my data and files so that it will be usable, but without any of my data. Cerberus is flashed, so I think I'll have a better chance at recovering my phone if it's usable and not completely locked.I have set a profile with tasker + secure settings to shutdown after 3 failed PIN attempts (which is different than the encryption password), so I should be save there and a thief would be forced to guess my much safer encryption password.I know that I can do it with cerberus, but only manually.@Robert answered a similar question, that is possible with encryption, but doesn't get specific. Bonus point: Is there any possibility to use a pattern instead of a PIN for the display lock? It's unavailable after encrypting..

How can I decrypt my SD Card?

Tuesday 30th of July 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Suddenly my phone wont recognized my encrypted SD card. How can I get my files decrypt? I can see them from pc but could not open them. Phone does not allow decryption but only factory reset, but that would delete any certificate keys, if any, thus would lose any chance of getting my files back. This sucks!

PLEASE HELP ME! I need a decryption method for my external 64gb SD card files

Thursday 17th of October 2013 / androidforums.com
I decided to try out the encryption to my galaxy S3 i9300 after the encryption I started having this bothersome issue with the password prompt, and I realized that I could not deactivate the password prompt because of a policy encryption. So I got tired of that, everyone I had to use my phone I had to put in the password. So I decided to factory reset my galaxy S 3 and now I realize that I cannot reproduce my 64 gb external SD card. I need I really need my files back, especially the photos. I'm like faceing a wall with all of this encrypted filesNo music photos videos reproduce probably because the files are encrypted. The files won't even reproduce in my laptop. What SOLUTION CAN I FIN FOR THIS BIG ISSUEPLEASE HELP Every problem has a solution and I'll find my solution right here.

[APP][SOCIAL][4.0+] Cryptim - secure soc. network with transparent encryption on client(device) side

Wednesday 01st of January 2014 / androidforums.com
Cryptim - is a mobile social network with transparent encryption on client side. Now you can transparently encrypt/decrypt messages/files on mobile device and share them with friends securely. No knowledge about cryptography is required. For encryption used RSA 2048bit(RSA/ECB/PKCS1Padding) and AES 256 bit(AES/CBC/PKCS5Padding), that are stable, proven and well-know cryptographic algorithms.Features:1. Encryption/decryption of messages occures on client mobile device.2. Server stores data in already encrypted state. So if server broken and database leaked, no private information can be extracted from such server/database.3. RSA key regeneration every 1 hour, new RSA keys used for encrypton of new messages.4. Server stores only public RSA keys, while private RSA keys are stored on client side.5. Message time to live on server is 7 days. After this time message will be deleted.6. Message extracted by destination client is removed from server.7. Data transfered between server and client encrypted with TLS v1.2.8. Captcha used to avoid automatic bruteforce attacks.Limitations:1) Synchroniz
