LG G2 phone cracked in the cold verizon

Sunday 15th of December 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
ok so the situation if anyone runs into the same situation. BRAND NEW LG G2 waited to activate and use my new phone until my case and zagg screen protector came in the mail. once they came in I activated the phone and began to use it for a little over a week. I goto Indianapolis Indiana left my phone in my top pocket of my carharrt coat approx 5*f outside phone was ok before I left the hotel once I got to the restaurant pulled my phone out to find a crack top to bottom on the screen. so to recap this is a brand new phone has NEVER been dropped abused not damage what so ever other than the screen cracked. so I'm stuck with paying a insurance deductible or $99.99 after just purchasing a phone for $200. ( the absolute kicker is the price of the phone through verizon now is only 99 so its really $200 extra down the drain) maybe mine is the only phone but figured I would post it just incase so just kinda depressed about it and if anyone else has the same type of issue please report it to verizon since i am apparently the first

Verizon LG G2 - Never go without a case

Monday 30th of December 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I put on the Diztronic tpu case I got the day I got my phone last week and so glad I did otherwise I might have had cracked screen. I was on my way to work when I pulled out my phone it was slippery wasn't paying attention...slipped and fell forward as that happened dropped phone and it fell maybe 3 feet onto croncete fell facing up that probably helped. Long story short I was ok said crap figured phone is busted but when I picked it up nothing not a scratch dent or anything. Whatever you do don't risk not getting any sort of case. Battery percentage never changes...please help

Tuesday 21st of January 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
So, I have a strange problem where my battery percentage on my Verizon G2 never changes from 100 percent no matter how much I use the device. This becomes an issue at the end of heavy use days and my phone has died multiple times without warning. LG support was no help and they want me to send the phone back to them, and I won't get a replacement for over a week. Verizon wants me to file an insurance claim and have Asurion replace the device. I don't want to go this route because I already had to file one claim on his phone because of a cracked screen. I'd much rather solve this issue on my own. I tried a factory reset yesterday, but that didn't fix the issue. Has anyone experienced this phenomenon, or does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it? When I go into the battery portion of the settings, it always says "Collecting battery info. Please wait." My phone is not rooted and I'm running the VS98012B software version. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.

Cracked Screen - Replacing Through Asurion - help transferring EVERYTHING?

Monday 14th of April 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Using the Verizon kickstand case - phone fell perfectly on concrete, top right edge - cracked screen all the way down the phone. Only the upper left corner (about 1/3 of the screen) is still useable via the touchscreen. BTW - upon restart of the phone, up popped a message "It appears your LCD may be damaged. Would you like to enable hardware button functions?" or something like that - basically allowing me to answer calls and silence alarms via the rear buttons...pretty cool! In any case, I'm getting a replacement through Asurion tomorrow. Any advice on a way to transfer EVERYTHING over since it will be G2 to G2? I'd like to transfer apps, SMS - everything if possible. I have very limited touch functionality, so it will have to be done via PC... Thanks!

LG G2 screen busted, locked out.

Tuesday 06th of May 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
So I have a Verizon LG G2 here, and besides the cracked screen and wonky digitizer, it's cool. My problem is that the majority of the screen unresponsive, and the device is password protected. I'm trying to get my files off of it, however I can't unlock it to enable debugging or anything. I can't unlock it at all. Help! Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk

Cracked LG G2 Screen

Tuesday 03rd of June 2014 / androidforums.com
I recently got an LG G2 smartphone with Verizon, but neither my dad nor I had yet to put insurance on it and I dropped the phone and the screen cracked. It's not a terrible crack and I wouldn't mind using it with the broken screen. The only problem is that the touchscreen is unresponsive. Getting the screen repaired is almost $200 and I don't mind paying for it, but since I don't have a job, I would like to see what all my options are and see if there is a cheaper way to do it before I spent $200 unnecessarily. I am able to turn the phone on with no problem but the touchscreen is unresponsive except for this one section on the left side. So the question is: if the phone and display is still working like it was before, what broke when I dropped the phone and what do I need to replace?

Speaker Phone does not work on LG G2

Tuesday 24th of June 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
this is a "new" phone I received in replacement of one I had to turn in on a warranty issue (I cracked the screen). But on this "new" one the speaker phone does not work. Anyone have a clue as to why it doesn't work? I hate to take it back in to replace it although I am sure it falls under warranty. I hope it is just a clicked button or something. Mute is also not on during this time. Verizon network if that matters.
