Press Render of Verizon’s Revamped Casio Commando 4G LTE Leaked – Droid Life

Tuesday 11th of June 2013 / feedproxy.google.com
Oh boy, if you had plans on picking up one of this year’s top flagship devices from either Samsung or HTC, this might change everything. /s A new press render has leaked from the ever-so-reliable @evleaks Twitter account, showing Verizon’s upcoming Casio Commando 4G LTE. As a recap, we have seen this device pictured a few times when it made a stop at the FCC. As far as we know, the device does in fact support 4G LTE, but past that not much is known in terms of specs. We know it will definitely be water and dust resistant, but probably won’t beat out any notable devices in a benchmark. But hey, that’s not the point. The selling point of this device will be its uncanny knack for not dying after you drop it countless times while camping or out on the work site. After all, not all of us get to sit behind a desk in a cushy chair all day.No release date is known, but remember when we would hypebeast the dates companies posted on their upcoming phones? This one is showing July 3, so go ahead and pencil that in on your calendar, just in case.Pretty sweet, amirite

Revamped Verizon Casio Commando 4G LTE press render Leaks

Tuesday 11th of June 2013 / androidspin.com
If you aren’t all hyped up about the Xperia Z or the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, maybe the Casio Commando 4G LTE will get your motor running a little. A new press render of a revamped version of the the old Commando from Verizon has surfaced from @evleaks twitter account. The Commando 4G LTE is still a bit of a mystery device. The original was a pretty hot seller and we still comments popping in on old posts about the device.About all that is known is that it will support 4G LTE this time around. It will, of course, be dust, water and shock resistant. We doubt it will be backing in any amazing hardware, but for the rugged life style sort of person, this could be an affordable option.Via @evleaks | Droid-Life

Verizon Casio Commando 4G LTE press image apparently leaked

Tuesday 11th of June 2013 / androidauthority.com.feedsportal.com
A new rugged Android-powered handset is heading to Verizon soon, according to an apparently leaked press image of the smartphone. The picture below, provided by the well-known @evleaks, who has been the source of plenty of similar leaks in the past, shows the Casio Commando 4G LTE (also known as the G’zOne Commando 811), which should be launched by Big Red in the near future. As you can see in the picture, Verizon's logo is present, right alongside Verizon's 4G LTE status bar icon. A July 3 date can also be spotted, but there are no details that would suggest that particular date would have anything to do with a potential launch.Obviously with such leaks, no matter how trusted the source, there’s always a possibility that the image is fake, so keep that in mind when admiring the device. That said, we’ll point out that the handset has already hit the FCC, and actual pictures of the handset have been provided to the regulator (including the one below) – as you can see, they show a device that’s similar to the one in the press render above, complete with Verizon'

Looking at getting the Commando 4G, need info

Sunday 01st of September 2013 / droidforums.net
I'm looking at getting the Casio commando 4g. I'm also looking at the Droid Maxx and the HTC One. What I like about the Commando is the rugged ability and the FM Radio (yes FM radio). I have the Galaxy S4 now and have a upgrade coming in Oct and have got those 3 in mind. Now I know the specs for the Commando aren't the best. But it seems to be ok. Are there any downsides I should know about?Sent from my (Verizon) Samsung Galaxy S4 using Droid Forums

Do you like your Commando 4G?

Friday 18th of October 2013 / androidforums.com
I've gotta say I've had some high end and low end phones before. I even have the Samsung Galaxy S4. But NONE like the Commando 4G, even though the Commando 4G was free (for me atleast), I love it. Sure it has some quirks and issues. But I love that it's water proof / resistant! My S4 would probably fall to pieces if a little rain got on it. My Commando 4G, nope keeps on. It also is one of the few phones to offer both voice and data at the same time on a 3G (CDMA ONLY, great for battery saving) connection. That is cool, plus the FM Radio is a favorite of mine. The speakers are loud too.So my question is you all here. Do you like yours, if yes or no what would you change to make it better? Me one thing, Bigger screen!

Casio Commando 4G LTE C811

Friday 30th of May 2014 / androidforums.com
Is the Casio Commando 4G LTE C811 from verizon compatible with T-Mobile network? verizon naturally said it was not compatible but T-Mobile says it is. If it is compatible what do I need to make it work on T Mobile network? I already have a T Mobile Sim Card ready to go it's just the phone won't let me use T Mobile SIM Card. Verizon Technical Support Rep.told me that all of their 4G Phone models are unlocked so I know that should not be the problem if Verizon person knew what they were talking about because sometimes I do wonder sometimes if the tech support people really knows. Do I need to root the phone would that enable it to work on Tmobile network? If so how do I root the phone

Casio C811 GzOne Commando 4G LTE dissambly Tutorial (Pics)

Tuesday 10th of June 2014 / androidforums.com
I didn't see an actual tutorial on this when I did my search on the web. So I did one with some pictures and tried to be pretty through. I got on here and saw meskalin Casio C811 GzOne Commando 4G LTE Digitizer/LCD replacement did a decent job with his video Casio C811 GzOne Commando 4G LTE Digitizer/LCD replacement - YouTube trying to show his process once he had it apart.Disassembly is not as labor intensive as the 771 was.The digitizer glass and the LCD are glued together with UV curing glue. If you are going to replace just the glass, keep this in mind, otherwise, you will want to get the assembly, and not just the glass (or just the LCD).Online, I found the glass for around $38, the LCD for $45, the assembly $70 ($50 if you don't mind a wait) (prices off ebay). (Side note: LOCA UV glue $5, UV lamp $20) If you purchased them individually but needed the assembly, you will need to heat the UV glue to pull them apart (be careful you don't overheat and destroy your LCD), add your UV glue and cure it (add your glue in a >-< design, slowly lower the glass and remove any air bubbl
