Android Market does not download when connected to wi-fi

Saturday 06th of March 2010 / droidforums.net
This is probably a newb question but here it goes....I can connect and browse apps when connected to the marketplace on wi-fi but when I attempt to download the app I choose it will just hang.Turn the wi-fi off and it just pops right in. Any suggestions? I'm thinking it's a firewall issue with my router. Maybe I should put the droid in the dmz on it? I have a static IP assigned to it anyway because the wifi would not detect the router with the SSID disabled while using wpa personal.

Disable "Connected to Wi-Fi network [network name]" notification

Tuesday 11th of June 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hey everyone, I have a Galaxy S3 on the Bell Mobile network in Canada, and aside from the horrendous battery life, it's a pretty good phone. One thing I notice that's kinda annoying is the "Connected to Wi-Fi network [network name]" pop-up that comes up quite often. I've managed to snap a screenshot of it. Anyone know of how to disable this? The only info I've found so far is on the Verizon pop-ups, and entering the *#6335623# code on the dial screen, but nothing comes up when I try that, and I'm not even sure that fix would work for this.

Chromecast connected to wi-fi, but can't access the internet

Thursday 15th of August 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I had my chromecast working perfectly after I set it up the first time. Couple of days back I unplugged it from my downstairs TV and plugged it in the upstairs one. Since then it has completely stopped working. I have done hard reset and fully reconfigure it multiple number of times, but nothing seems to be helping. I have two wi-fi network at home and have tried it on both the network. It connects to the wi-fi router fine, but gives an error "Chromecast connect to <WI-FI SSID NAME>, but can't access the internet. Any ideas? Is it bricked??

Connected to Wi-Fi but cannot connect to the internet.

Wednesday 11th of September 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I have a razor hd. Today I had to replace my Comcast modem because the old one was having severe packet loss issues. This is a modem and a router in one that comcast provides. The new modem works fine for all the computers in the house but my phone can connect to the router but not to the actual internet. I've tried everything that I know how to do. As far as I know the issue is a setting in the router but I have no idea where to look or what to do to get my phone working properly again. Is there a way to reset all network settings on the android without wiping the entire device? I'll check in the morning if it works in other locations.
