Monday 10th of September 2012 / justanswer.com
I have an Galaxy Nexus Android phone from Google (AT&T) and recently I got some substance in the charger outlet that burned the outlet and the charger. I cannot charge my phone now to turn it on and I also do not have the information on my phone backed up. I really want to get this phone working again because the information stored on my phone is really important to me but Samsung says that they cannot fix the phone without deleting all the information on it. Is there a way to get around this? Please help!

Galaxy Note 10.1 (n8000) - Red X on Power Icon

Sunday 30th of December 2012 / androidtablets.net
Good morning all, New to the Samsung / Android family - had a ipad but was looking for a tablet that had a pen... so I purchased the Galaxy Note 10.1 and I was impressed with the s pen... I purchased my galaxy in early November and configured the unit without an issue. I had it charging from the power charger and my pc, without an issue... Then in mid November, I turned the unit on and it asked it had a software update; which I let it do... it took about 10 minutes and all looked good... I then needed to charge my unit, and noticed the red x on the icon (regardless whom was charging the unit - power charger or PC/USB).. I noticed if I left the unit on, the charge would take for ever but it would charge. I turned the unit off, and connected to the power charger and the battery icon appeared on the display and I would leave this over night an the unit was fully charged. My question, before the software upgrade everything was great and after the upgrade I started to have this issue... Could this software upgrade cause this issue? Thanks in advance...

Wall charger question

Wednesday 16th of May 2012 / androidforums.com
Hello all, Future Note LTE user here. Currently I am using an iPhone 4, but I will be purchasing the Galaxy Note LTE on ATT either Thursday, or next Tuesday after work. For the record, I VERY much dislike my iPhone, and can't wait to get on Android. My wife has a Samsung Infuse, and I love it. [QUESTION] I already have 4-5 iPhone wall chargers, can I just plug a micro USB cable into that and charge the Note LTE or an Infuse without issue, or will I need to purchase new wall chargers? Our car chargers have a USB port which will charge the Infuse and/or the iPhone 4 without issue, so I would have to assume this would work, but I wanted to see if anyone has tried this.[/QUESTION] I plan to purchase3-5 or so USB to micro USB cables from Newegg (I like to keep a charger at work, in the car, and at home, and my wife does the same). It will be nice to have a 6 foot charge cable, because sometimes the short ones just don't cut it. Specifically charging our phones at night. The wall plate is in the middle of the headboard, and the phones don't really make it to the night stands, which is anno

iPhone user takes another swing at android phone G2X and android fails

Saturday 18th of June 2011 / androidforums.com
Having a iPhone since they first came out i loved it. Well I got bored last year and decided to change it up with a samsung galaxy. Phone was ok, battery life was hoooorrribbllee, charger on the top? Wtf and weak sound out of ear phones. Fast forward to now. Got bored with my iPhone 4, dumped it, got a G2X, I can't even go a day without having a phone that will stay charged. Go to use the Sirius app, I can't hear crap, same thing with music player. I'm sorry the software is great but google needs to design their own phone, have only one just like iPhone a f make sure it's done right. All I read is bow all these android phones and horrible battery life! I mean I could go 2 days without having to charge my iPhone and that was with heavy usage since it's my work phone. Yet I have a fully charged G2x last night, wake up at 3 this morning to a scolding hot phone and 3 percent left.. What crap.

Also having this issue. When I plug it in I get a really high pitched buzzing noise and it won't turn on for 1-2 minutes and then it just shuts back off again. When I disconnect the charger it just gets more high pitched until it eventually stops.I've heard this noise before from a broken phone charger so I hope it's not a resistor or something inside the device playing up.Every minute or so it randomly boots without me even pressing any buttons and then when it gets to the lock screen it powers off again telling me to connect my charger when it is in fact connected. When I plug it into my computer via USB it is not detected in Devices and Printers but it still boots randomly. I can't access the memory of the device.I've tried charging over night and booting into bootloader but none of it will work and I even pulled the back of the device off and re-connected the battery cable as someone on XDA mentioned.I would send it back but it's rooted and the bootloader is unlocked so I have a feeling that they wouldn't help me at all?EDIT: Finally got it into the bootloader and selected 'power

Galaxy S3 Dock Charger

Saturday 19th of January 2013 / androidforums.com
I'm thinking of buying the official Samsung Dock Charger for S3 which has a separate compartment for spare battery. I was wondering if we can charge only the spare battery without the phone connected to the dock charger Sent from my GT-I9300 using Android Central Forums

Galaxy S3 charging issue

Tuesday 04th of February 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hii, Since a couple of days I have a charging issue with my Galaxy S3. I use CM11(Android 4.4). I always charged my phone with the charger that came with the phone, more than a year without any issues. But a few days ago, the phone only charges after some tinkering. So pull out the charger, put him back, push a little bit left/right etc. Finally he charges, but with some little movements he stopped and I need to tinkering again. This was going on 1/2days. At the second day the battery was almost empty at school, but a schoolmate had an portable charger. So I tried to charge my phone with this charger, but also with the portable charger I needed to tinkering a bit before he starts charging. Back home I tried to charge my phone with the original charger but noting happened, even after some tinkering. So I tried to charge via USB from my PC, this worked fine without any problems, just put the cable in and it charges good. After I knew the connector was not broken, I tried again the normal charger, but nothing.. I tried several outlets in the house and another Samsung charger but nothing

Battery will not charge - item covered under warranty but it is a US item and I live in the UK

Tuesday 11th of March 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
I live in the UK and purchased my tablet from eBay shop Eurotronics on 24/02/2014. The Tab Pro 10.1 was actually an American tablet, as it wasn't yet released in the UK until mid-March (it was my birthday on 28th February and my other half wanted something to give me on my birthday). Any how the tablet came on time and received it and it was working ok, then I noticed that the battery was charging painfully slowly. The charger that came with it was obviously a US charger so I couldn't use it, but I have tried my android phone charger (I use for my HTC One without problems) and it won't charge it past 10% after about 4 hours charging, and plugging it into my laptop with the usb cable doesn't work any better. I've ordered a new charger that is yet to come and I hope that may help. Has anyone else experienced similar problems? I figured the sooner I act the better, so I contacted Samsung (UK) and gave them my details and whatever and they said that they can book it in for repair as it is covered under warranty, etc etc. But then I receive another phone call saying as the item has a US s

How do you charge your phone?

Tuesday 22nd of April 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
I think most charge by cable but personally I like wireless charging. I can set it on the charging pad at night and have a full charge by morning. In the past I have knocked over my phone at night, so wireless charging helps so that my phone isn't swinging off of the charging cable like a pendulum. Also at work when I have to leave my desk often, wireless charging allows me to just pick up the phone without worrying about the cord. Now the downside is that wireless charging on my note 3 is slower than by cable so if need a quick boost, I will plug it in. What about you? How do you charge your phone? I know only mentioned by cable or wireless, but I know some people have an external charger and will just swap batteries. dpham00, Android Central Moderator Sent from my Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3
