Monday 22nd of July 2013 / androidforums.com
Hello, so il get right to the pointI cant update any of the google apps. When trying to update Google music app, it gives me the "package file was not signed correctly.Uninstall the previous Copy if the app and try again."now, this problem also accurs with other google apps sutch as maps, calendar etc.deleting the cache and then trying to update the app doesnt work either.i also use google Keep alot.i installed the app and it says. "This app won't run unless you update Google Play Services." Ok, fine so i try to update Play services and Behold, the same error occurs, giving me the annoying "package file was not signed correctly.Uninstall the previous Copy if the app and try again." Error yet again.i tried manually downloading the android play store apk. and installing a new version, but then it gives me this error "An existing package by the same name with a conflicting signature is already installed".Deleting the cache and disabling the app and THEN trying to install it wont work either.Im using Nexus 4 with 4.2.1I haven't rooted it, no roms. And

Cant flash any ROMs

Monday 29th of July 2013 / androidforums.com
So after trying every custom ROM on here, it seems I cant flash anything and Im not sure why. I thought I was just getting corrupted downloads, but I think its more than that now as it doesnt matter which rom, how its downloaded, etc. When I boot to recovery and try to flash anything this is what I see this is what I see:battery level is 96No APP files found in SD card---------FAIL---------Install /sdcardFinding update package...Opening update package...Verifying update package...E: signature verification failed...E: installation failedInstallation aborted----------------Im running the stock rom, rooted with superuser, and used the guide here to install recovery. Ive tried it with factory resetting/wiping cache, just wiping cache, and not wiping anything hoping something would give me a different result. Any idea where I went wrong and how to get to a point that I can flash roms?

Kindle App not working after Android 4.3 upgrade

Saturday 10th of August 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Well..I hit update for Android 4.3 and now my Amazon Kindle app doesn't work on my Nexus 7. I went to Google Play and saw there was an update available for Kindle so tried that but it failed to update as well. I then uninstalled and tried to re-install it but still get an error. Im guessing something is not compatible but how do I find this out? Is there a way to backlevel back to the previous Android level? Kindle is one of the main reasons I have this tablet so this really sucks. Any help would be appreciated. Update: I guess it is affecting other apps. I cant download or update any app without getting the error "Update for xxxx could not be downloaded due to an error (927)".

HTC one update to Jellybean 4.3

Thursday 03rd of October 2013 / androidforums.com
Hello everyone, 1st post here so please understand im not as tech savvy as the rest of you so ill try to explain this as best I can. Prior to updating my HTC one (Dev issued phone), you could access the app drawer by pressing the center button on the HTC one, here you could take apps out of this drawer and place them in your task bar ( the blank spaces between the drawer button previously mentioned) and it would in sense "remove" them from the drawer. However with the update to 4.3 Jellybean ( i believe its called) any app moved out of the drawer stays and it almost make a short cut to the app. Hiding the app hides the app from all view, either by task bar, app window, or back in the main screen, and so far I am unable to have that clean look I am so used to. This is very annoying and frustrating as I can get back to what I had and I cant find any videos or anyone else having this issue. I hope I was able to explain this clearly enough I can provide Screen shots if needed or provide further assistance. Any tips tricks or a work around would be very appreciated.Thank you so m

Massive problems with 4.3 update (urgent help needed)

Wednesday 18th of December 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I just received the 4.3 update OTA on Sunday, and now i have MASSIVE problems with my phone. my battery is draining rapidly, i cant access any files- My files freezes my phone, i cant download apps, or files from emails, my camera cant save photos, gallery freezes my phone, it reboots randomly, and vibrates randomly. I cant even connect to a PC Sprint recommends a clean wipe, but there are files i don't want to loose. the easy answer is "you should have backed up first" well... i would have had i known it was doing a massive update. i didn't get any warning it was going to download, let alone break my phone. is there any work arounds to get my files off the internal storage, or a new rom onto the sd card to then recover, or even a sideload of a file management app which might be able to read my internal memory? I do not have a PC at home to work from, only an adroid tablet. and my phone is my only Internet source at home.
