Official SkyDrive for Android app now available in the Google Play Store

Tuesday 28th of August 2012 / androidcentral.com
It wasn't any secret that Microsoft was working on an official SkyDrive for Android app. In fact, it wasn't all that long ago they let us know it would soon be here and now, if you head on over to the Google Play Store you'll find it readily available for download. It has all the features you'd expect but in case you need a run down:Access all of your SkyDrive content including files shared with you.View recently used documents.Choose multiple photos or videos to upload from your phone.Share your files and photos – send a link in email or in another app.Open your SkyDrive files in other Android apps.Manage your files – delete, or create new folders.I've not really used SkyDrive in the past but now that there is an app for it, I'm more likely to go ahead and give it a try. Besides, who can really say now to free storage right? In total, Microsoft gives you 7GB for free so give it a go.

Tag photos in Facebook for Android app

Monday 02nd of January 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
Is anybody able to tag photos in the Facebook for Android app? If so how do you do it? I can't figure it out at all. It seems like it should be as simple as opening your photo in the Facebook app and tapping on a persons face but that doesn't do anything.

Brightcove announces SDK for Android app creation, Flash templates

Tuesday 22nd of June 2010 / androinica.com
Apple and HTML5 advocates are quick to point out that Flash is not the video distribution platform of the future; however, it is the distribution method of today and cannot be ignored as an important tool for consuming video online.Brightcove has recognized this and announced today that developers can now access the Brightcove app SDK for Android app creation. It is also offering templates for the just-announced Flash 10.1 that include more touch-friendly controls and images. Developers can use these resources to create native Android apps that can optimize their content for mobile phones. The SDK includes tips and resources for using Java and Brightcove API’s for media-driven apps.In the announcement of the SDK, Brightcove’s Jeff Whatcott took the time to pat Android on the back and signal that it is happy that his company is “connecting Brightcove to the red hot Android platform in a material way with this new SDK.” While Brightcove is actively working on improving its ability to work with HTML5, the company wants to expand options for content delivery.Develope
