backup - I Need Help Getting Contacts from Broken Android!

Friday 30th of November 2012 / android.stackexchange.com
My Huawei Mercury M886 fell out of my lap when getting out of the car and it got run over...Its not rooted. The screen is completely shattered off and I cant use the touchscreen or buttons so I cant get passed the lock screen.I was able to get about half my contacts from my back up in April on the wireless server from Cricket, and I don't use the Gmail back up and purposely did it that way. I plugged my phone into the computer but I cant access the phone at all since I have to choose the USB/Computer option from the phone itself.Anyone know of how I can get to them? They are not on the SD card either. I need a way to access the phone without using the touchscreen. Is there a way to sync the Android phone to PC without using the touchscreen?I don't have my phone password protected. It seems as though that the Android can do everything except retrieve information without using the touch screen...this is a HUGE problem...very impracticable for bad situations.

Sunday 12th of August 2012 / androidforums.com
My phone got a little wet yesterday, long story short a new one is on the way. However the touchscreen is unresponsive, the phone works fine otherwise. Is there anyway to unlock the phone to get some stuff off of it. Any help is appreciated.

HELP! My touchscreen on my D1 has gone BESERK!!!

Sunday 17th of April 2011 / droidforums.net
So my droid is going crazy all of a sudden. I cant even unlock my phone with my "unlock" pattern because without me even touching the screen, its pushing various buttons for really fast and I get prompt to "Try Again in 30 Seconds."Now when I do get lucky enough to unlock the phone after trying 10x, my touchscreen will freeze for a couple seconds then start opening apps by itself, opening the browser and zooming in and out REALLY fast and doing other random crap without me touching it.I havent put this phone by water or anything to damage the phone. Always in my leather case and on my desk charging when Im not using it.I need to know what I can do because since I cant swipe my phone, Im missing important calls since I cant answer them and receiving txt messages but cant reply since my Droid wont allow me to click on the input bar to enter a message. Now I dont want people to feel like im ignoring them. This phone is a refurbished one. This is my first Verizon contract. I had to exchange my 1st Droid 9 months into my first year because the screen all of a sudden wou

[Q]DroidCARPC :How do I recognize compatable touchscreen monitors for android phones?

Thursday 01st of May 2014 / androidforums.com
I am looking to buy a 7" touchscreen monitor for mounting in my car that I can use to control my android Droid 4 phone from. Plan is that I plug my phone into the touchscreen monitor and use it like a car PC. I could then use the phones bluetooth to link up things like a keyboard, OBDLink MX (so I can use the android app for it to see veh performance). Sound can still run though my cars aux like it does right now with my phone or I can link it up another way. If i get this setup it would prob be the most plug and play and most useful car PC's ever.Hopefully I could find a monitor that also has: GPS, Mic (for handsfree talk), internal battery. The monitor should also be 12v DC for easy wiring. So can anyone help provide me with information on how to Vet monitors for use with android? I need to know what sort of features/touchscreen types the monitor would need in order to run my phone from it using the touchscreen. That way I can start effectively vetting monitors online and find the best ones to suit my needs.I cant really get any further without reliable information about how to
