I'm a Droid, and Android 2.2 is my idea. (call Log suggestion)

Friday 12th of March 2010 / talkandroid.com
Hello Android users and Google/Motorola phone gods,I have a concern with the layout of the "Call Log" settings on the Droid. It is very irritating! The problem is that every single call shows up in the "log" for you to see. This should not be. For example, if my girlfriend and I exchange 10 phone calls during the day, and no one else calls me that day, I see her number listed 10 times. This is annoying. If my father was the last person I called besides her, I have to scroll past her name 10 times and find his name (Yes, I can use favorites, but the last person to call is not always on my favorites).I have seen a better program on an old phone (maybe Nokia?). On the "call log" the last 10 phone numbers that I had called were listed. If I wanted to see the history of one of those numbers, then I just selected the number and the last 30 times I called that person (with date, time, and duration) would show up. So, if I called my girlfriend 12 times with no one else calling me that day, I would not see her name 12 times in the call log. She would be #1 and

Did anyone else notice that this has a proper call time log?

Sunday 02nd of December 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
I've always been annoyed that I couldn't see a record of my call times beyond the last call and perhaps a cumulative total. Well, I just got off a call and happened to notice on the screen that it had a list of calls with colored arrows - blue pointing down (incoming), green pointing up (outgoing), red pointing down (missed) - and how long ago the last event was. Tap on the line and it takes you into a list of calls with precise times they started and how long they lasted, like: Incoming call1:53PM, Sunday, December 2, 20122 mins 25 secs Outgoing call12:52AM, Sunday, December 2, 20127 mins 28 secs Missed call6:57PM, Saturday, December 1, 20122 mins 25 secs VERY snazzy and useful. Just an FYI if you missed it.

Remove duplicates from call log

Thursday 22nd of April 2010 / talkandroid.com
Is there an app (or better, a way within Android) to prevent the same contact from showing the the call log multiple times? I talk mainly to the same few people, with a few others scattered between, and it would be nice if I had the option to see each caller (and outgoing call destination) only once in the call log. (Maybe have the call times viewable if I open the contact's entry in the call log.)Thanks.

Droid X - can't see call times

Thursday 30th of December 2010 / droidforums.net
I'm assuming this is simple, but my google-fu and UI spelunking haven't turned up an answer. When I go to my missed/recent calls list I see name, phone number, call length, and *part* of the date/time stamp, with the last part clipped (showing "...") so I can't see the time of the call. Obviously this can be a problem if you need to know the time of a call, or just irritating. The options button only lets me clear list or set up the speed dial and I don't see another place to modify this display elsewhere in the UI.Anyone care to help me facepalm by showingthe simple fix? I really want to see the times calls were made.

Recent call details

Sunday 08th of May 2011 / droidforums.net
I was pretty much ready to replace my old Motorola W755 flip phone with a Droid Pro yesterday, but one thing annoyed me on the Verizon store's test unit. The recent calls list, rather than displaying the date and time of a call, only gives a vague "yesterday" or "two days" ago for each entry. Long-pressing the call record didn't present any options for more call details. Is there any way to change this? If my old free Motorola flip phone can display exact call times there's no excuse for the supposed Blackberry-killing Droid Pro not to.

Call Times

Thursday 16th of December 2010 / droidforums.net
This may seem to be unimportant, but for important phone calls it would be nice to see the exact time that a call was received. Currently, my phone only states things like "2 days ago." Is there any way to change this?

Dialer One: incorrect call log times

Sunday 11th of July 2010 / androidforums.com
Hi,Phone: HTC Hero with android 2.1.Recently Dialer One has started displaying the wrong time in the call log, though the correct call time is displayed in both the native call history and also within Super Dialer. Not ALL call times are wrong in Dialer One, just some of them. Also, the incorrect time that is displayed changes sometimes. Anybody got any idea what is wrong here? Thanks!
