Android Tablet as a bluetooth headset reciever

Friday 27th of May 2011 / androidtablets.net
I am thinking about using a tablet for the stereo system in my car instead of the navigation deck that i have right now. I was wondering if anyone has been able to make it so that the tablet would be used as a bluetooth speakerphone for my actual cell phone(Epic 4g). As in route calls from my phone through the car speakers when the tab is docked. I dont need volume controls because that will be handled by a dedicated unit. Any ideas?

A way to use Tablet as Bluetooth headset..

Friday 24th of February 2012 / droidforums.net
I know this sounds retarded...but is there a way to use an android table ( Transformer ) as a bluetooth headset for a phone ( HTC thunderbolt ) like set it up so audio comes out the transformer and sound comes in through transformer.. or even have the transformer make outgoing calls from my phone and use it's service.. etc...? just via bluetooth or w.e.. i can settle with just as a bluetooth stereo device.. =)and yes... It's been a while.. hello new and older members.. =)

Galaxy Tab 8.9 And 10.1 Revealed By Samsung - Razor-Thin And Priced To Sell

Friday 22nd of March 2013 / androidpolice.com
It looks like at least one Android tablet manufacturer has finally realized that $700-800 slates just won't cut it against the (starting at) $500 iPad 2 in the eyes of most customers. In case you missed our Live Blog, Samsung has finally announced its upcoming Galaxy Tab 8.9 and Galaxy Tab 10.1, both of which will launch with Wi-Fi-only versions - and we finally have an Android tablet that can compete with Apple's slate in one of the most important categories: price. Fear not though, for these tabs are no slouches in the specs department either. At 8.6mm thick, these two slates (which sport dual-core processors) beat out the 8.8mm iPad 2 in the thinness department by what will likely be an indiscernible .2mm. They will feature dual stereo surround speakers, and will come in 16GB and 32GB models (do you think they were paying attention to what Apple was doing here or what?).Perhaps aiming for the business-minded demographic, Samsung is also including USB in/out capabilities (only for the 8.9)...... and a Bluetooth stick headset, which includes vibration:As reported previously, Samsung

Bluetooth Stereo Earbuds for Tablet

Saturday 28th of April 2012 / androidtablets.net
Hi folks.I'm interested in a Bluetooth stereo headset for use with my Transformer Prime.I'd use it for music and movies.I'm interested in your recommendations and experiences. Most headsets I look at on-line refer to listening to music. Do people even use them for listening to movies?Thank you for any information and input. In a really wonderful world, I could have it paired with both my TF and my phone. Could be listening and using with tablet, receive call on phone, pause/mute tablet use and then use it for phone call.

Jawbone pairs but won't work

Monday 08th of August 2011 / androidtablets.net
My Jawbone will pair with my Acer but won't work for google talk orCSipSimple conversations. When paired (and only when paired) CSipSimple enables the bluetooth button to switch the call to bluetooth but no sound comes from the Jawbone and the Jawbone mic won't work. So at least the tablet recognizes that there is a bluetooth available.Has anyone gotten a standard bluetooth headset to work? (Not stereo music headset, just a phone headset).

BlueTooth headset and Gtalk

Friday 13th of July 2012 / androidtablets.net
I have a VTAB1008 with latest updates.I have an Inland BlueTooth Stereo headset with microphone. In the BlueTooth settings, I have the headset enabled for both handsfree and media. It works fine to listen to music or video, but when I try to use it with Google Talk, the headset is ignored and the tablet's built in speakers and microphone are used instead.I could not find any settings in the Google Talk app for choosing the audio device(s) to use. Nor can I find any settings in either application nor service management to affect this.Any idea what I am overlooking? Thanks.
