Wifi and Bluetooth Issues with AT&T One X

Wednesday 27th of June 2012 / androidforums.com
I just purchased a AT&T One X a few days ago. The first phone had bad Bluetooth issues. The range was very poor and it kept disconnecting from my headset. Also, the WiFi was just not very good (detailed below) The guys at AT&T were awesome and immediately replaced the phone. The 2nd phone has Bluetooth that's inferior to my iPhone 4S in regards to sound clarity, but it's good enough and has not dropped the Bluetooth connection. However, the WiFi is horrible. The speeds are very poor compared to an iPhone, iPad and Droid Razr Maxx. In addition, I lose network connectivity easily and can cause significant signal degradation by tightly cupping the phone along the bottom of the phone (similar to the death grip on the iPhone 4)I find it hard to believe that I had 2 defective phones, but has anyone else had similar experiences ?*** Update ****I do have the 1.85.502.3 update, which is supposed to help with WiFi connectivity and throughput so I'm at a loss. I don't want to replace another phone if this is a more widespread issue. If that's the case, I'll have to return the phone beca

Samsung Galaxy S3 Bluetooth Connectivity with Subaru and other blue tooth enabled vehicles

Wednesday 22nd of August 2012 / androidforums.com
Hey Everyone, I spent the better part of 1.5 hours on with Samsung regarding the connectivity issues with their bluetooth on the Samsung Galaxy S3. I thought some of you would be interested in knowing they have no fix in place at present time for those of us who cant connect our S3 to our cars automatically. I own a 2012 Subaru Forester, before i bought the S3 I owned the Galaxy Vibrant and apple Iphone2, along with other phones, each of which connected seemlesly with my car's bluetooth. With the S3 I am forced to manually connect the phone to my car's bluetooth each time I turn the car on. It is annoying and downright ridiculous. I contacted Subaru because they claim on their sight that the S3 is fully compatible with the 2012 Subaru Forester and that it connects automatically, well that is not the case. Samsung higher echelon tech support claims that the S3 may not be bluetooth compatible with all cars, that to me is a crock. Well bottom line is that Samsung claims they are working on a fix with the next software update "Jelly Bean", but no guarantee it will fix problem a

Bluetooth issues with your car?

Wednesday 08th of June 2011 / forums.androidcentral.com
Anyone having issues with bluetooth staying connected in your vehicle? I have a 2011 Lincoln MKX with Sync/MyLincolnTouch and the BT connection is constantly being dropped. I previously had a Droid 1 and it was flawless. I am pretty surprised to see I went to a newer phone and the BT seems to have gone backwards. Very disappointing since the Sync system needs to be connected to the internet via the phone and now it basically doesn't work anymore. Any advice (other than returning the phone) would be appreciated.

Streaming Bluetooth Issues with ICS

Sunday 08th of July 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
After updating to ICS, I've noticed that there has been an issue with controlling streaming audio via a bluetooth device (car stereo, headphones, etc). I've noticed that for the most part, the phone will not respond to commands while the screen is off. By this, I mean, I can't pause audio or advance the track. I had no issues with this while on GB. As suggested I went ahead and did a system wipe, but that did not seem to work. I'm looking for suggestions on how to possibly remedy this, or if this is something that is going to have to be dealt with on ICS. Thanks in advance.

Replaced VZW S4 Digitizer & Screen, Now Having Issues With 4G and Phone Freezing

Monday 28th of October 2013 / androidforums.com
I dropped my VZW Galaxy S4 (stock, unrooted, running 4.2.2), cracking the screen and damaging the digitizer. I ordered a replacement digitizer/screen and installed it and everything went fine. However I'm now dealing with a number of odd issues with my phone that were not there before installing the new parts a week ago:4G doesn't work. I never had any issues getting 4G before replacing the digitizer but now it will only connect using 3G. I've used both the Global and LTE/CDMA network modes and it doesn't help. The phone will randomly freeze up and require a battery pull to fix it. This only occurs when I'm actually using the phone and there's no pattern to what causes it. It can be using the internet, multiple apps, going through the pic gallery, etc. It happens 8-12 times a day, though that frequency is directly based on how much I'm using my phone in a given day. Whenever this happens, the phone will get very hot in the SD and SIM slot area. The camera only works intermittently. About half the time I open the camera app, the app's HUD appears but it's just a black screen behind it,

Anyone having Bluetooth issues with Jawbones and the HTC One?

Saturday 09th of November 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I have both a new Jawbone Icon HD and a Jawbone ERA, both under 50 days old. I can hear perfectly but my customers and Verizon support say I'm fading in and out. I just switched from Sprint about two weeks ago and Verizon went through it with a fine tooth comb and decided my new phone was the problem. They sent out, I presume, a remanufactured phone today and it has the same problems. I can never remember having any problems using these Jawbones on the HTC Shift I had. Anyone else notice Bluetooth problems on this phone? They told me to come in and find a different phone earlier today. I am thinking I'll just get a wired ear piece. Like the phone as it does a lot very well. Once away from my vehicle it's much better. Have 3 vehicles I'm using and all worked fine on previous use with the Jawbones... Thanks... Gary

S3 bluetooth issues with Pioneer DEH-X9600BHS

Wednesday 05th of February 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Howdy all, I'm having issues making the VZW S3 (software ver 4.1.2) and bluetooth play nice with the new Pioneer head unit. It works fine with making and receiving calls. It works fine (including control via the HU) with the Pandora function. It works fine with the generic BT audio function. Unfortunately, it won't work with the unit's app function that would allow me to use TuneIn, iHeartAuto, etc. which includes viewing the metadata on the receiver and using it to control the apps. I get a message, "BT error. Press BAND to retry." When I do that it attempts to connect for around a second and then I get the error message again. This is really frustrating because that feature was what sold me on this unit. So far, I've unpaired and repaired a million time to no avail and am open to any suggestions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Multiple Issues with S4 on AT&T

Sunday 23rd of March 2014 / androidforums.com
I've recently started experiencing issues with my S4 (out of warranty) which almost are making me want to go back to my S2 Sky-Rocket. I am running on AT&T Unlimited Go-Phone plan.It all began in early February when I started figuring out that I wasn't answering texts (extremely important to me as many clients text me for showings instead of calling me). I usually work from the home office, hence it could not be an issue with my location (I constantly have 3-4 bars of service and LTE).Towards the end of February my phone intermittently cut all service completely and text messages would not execute until the service came back on (usually 45 seconds - 1 minute). This could happen every hour during the day from 6AM to 2AM.I finally got sick of it and called AT&T who said the service in my area is one of the best in the state (the AT&T tower is walking distance from my house). They said they'd monitor my phone and look into it for a week then get back in touch. One week later they called and said everything is working great and that my device was defective.I went to the AT&am
