Droid 2 Global Battery Life

Saturday 01st of January 2011 / droidforums.net
So I just got my Droid 2 Global on Tuesday, and one thing I can't seem to figure out is why my battery dies so damn fast. Like every 20 or 30min, I will look at it, and my battery will be down by 10%, so after a full charge, it takes like up to like 3 or 4 hours before I need to recharge it again, and thats if I dont use the internet or anyhing that much, i can just let it sit there on standby, and it keeps dropping by 10% every 30min. I make sure my Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and all that is off, and I use Advanced Task Manager to kill my background apps, but after I kill them they all restart 5mins later, so thats not helping at all, and I'm thinking its my background apps that our killing my battery. But I cant figure out how to stop them from restarting 5min after I kill them. So any ideas on how I can make my battery last longer like its supposed to. Its supposed to have like 200hrs of Standby time, and like 8hours of talk time. MY gf got the Droid 2 Global as well, the same day, and her battery last way longer then mine, but like I said, I have to keep charging mine every few hours

Galaxy S3 Bluetooth issue

Friday 26th of April 2013 / androidforums.com
OK guys. First let me start with that how surprised I am that I don't see more people complaining about this since there is no way I'm the only person having this problem. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 I9000 and I love the phone but here is my problem. Every time I try to use the Bluetooth and wifi simultaneously, to watch YouTube videos for example, my phone keeps dropping the connection to my wifi network. Note that, while it keeps recognizing my wifi it just stops being conected to it. In other words: I could be watching a YouTube video or symply browsing the internet while listening to music through my stereo Bluetooth headset, and that is music that is on my phone not streaming, and after about a couple of minutes I'd get a message that reads, not connected to the wifi network. When this happens, I go in to my wifi setting and right there under my network it says, disabled. If I press on it it will connect again just to kick me out after another couple of minutes tops. WTF Samsung? ?? I know it must be some sort of interference between the wifi signal and the Bluetooth signal. I kn

Hotspots Dropping While Using FoxFi

Monday 09th of July 2012 / androidforums.com
Using Verizon, a Razr with ICS and FoxFi. Typically FoxFi works and wonderfully but with the new ICS update I'm finding that if FoxFi is somehow interrupted - a screen timeout, a mistaken app kill, or even without me doing anything - it won't reconnect at all and it'll read: Wifi mode has failed on your phone. Please use Bluetooth mode instead. That isn't exactly true since I'm able to create wifi hotspots. It is simply when the program is interrupted I can't create them afterwards (without a restart).I am running Juice Defender (which shouldn't be stopping FoxFi), I've also Ignored FoxFi on my auto-kill. The only thing I can think is that it is some weird ICS issue since this never happened prior to the recent ICS update. The reason I'm asking here and not the FoxFi forums at first is because I'm wondering if anyone knows if this is an ICS issue or a app-specific issue? Anyone know a solution to it? I'd really like to create hotspots without having to shell out the cash to Verizon for it (I pay them enough, damn it!) Anyone have a better hotspot creator? Thanks

Next-gen Nexus 7 pictured in tiny photo, Snapdragon 600 CPU listed

Saturday 15th of June 2013 / feedproxy.google.com
Bluetooth SIG listing shows new 7-inch Nexus tablet alongside spec detailsAfter dropping by the FCC a couple of days ago, the ASUS K009-- a new "Nexus"-branded tablet, according to FCC documents -- has appeared in a tiny photo at the Bluetooth SIG. It's rectangular and tablet-shaped, with a front-facing camera... and that's about all you can tell. Squint really hard and you might be able to make out the outline of the screen, which seems to indicate slightly less bezel than on the existing Nexus 7.But it isn't all tiny, illegible pictures -- the Bluetooth SIG listing also contains an interesting paragraph about the new Nexus 7's internal specs. The document confirms the presence of a 7-inch LED-lit display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core CPU. That contradicts FCC documents, which specify a slightly less speedy Snapdragon S4 Pro chip instead. It's possible the similarities in part numbers (the S4 Pro is APQ8064, the 600 is APQ8064T) may be to blame. In our opinion the Snapdragon 600 is the more likely candidate, considering the probable launch tim

Samsung Galaxy S2 - Bluetooth car connection keeps dropping since 4.1.2 upgrade

Tuesday 09th of July 2013 / androidforums.com
Hi,I have seen similar threads before, but as yet have not see a definitive answer. Hope someone can help.I upgraded the operating system on my Galaxy S2 to Jellybean 4.1.2 a few weeks ago when it popped up as an option one day when I turned on wifi. Since then I have had problems with the Bluetooth connection in my car. It worked perfectly well before the upgrade and used to work fine with my old Samsung Jet. When I turn it on it connects ok to the car radio system. But after a approx 30 secs the connections disappears, the radio blanks out for a couple of seconds and then the Bluetooth reconnects. This happens continually and as you can imagine is very annoying - I no longer use the Bluetooth in my car. I have tried various things, un-pairing and then re-pairing my device, clearing the cache in the Bluetooth Share and Bluetooth Test on my phone, but nothing works! I haven't done a factory reset - as have seen mentioned in other places. A bit unsure about this as to what it might do to my phone. Hope someone may have an answer.Thanks.

Bluetooth randomly dropping and reconnecting during phone calls

Wednesday 28th of August 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Like the title says, I'm having this strange issue of late with my bluetooth. During a phone at random points out of no where I'll it'll lose connection during phone calls. Doesn't matter if I'm using the bluetooth system in my car or my plantronics headset. I even did a factory reset hoping that would resolve the issue somehow, but not luck. So I'm hoping one of you smart people will know something that I don't or have heard of a fix for this. Thanks in advance! Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4

Hisense Sero 7 Pro Bluetooth gaps when streaming music

Tuesday 03rd of December 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hi, Does anyone else have issues with their Sero 7 Pro streaming music uninterrupted? I have two different Bluetooth adapters, one in the car and one on my home theater. When I connect to them via Bluetooth and stream music (that is on my SD card), there are little half-second gaps every so often. I can't tell if it's the music pausing momentarily, or if the BT signal is dropping out, but it's really annoying. A large part of the reason I got this tablet was to use it as a music server, and the fact that there are little drop-outs all over the place makes for a harsh listening experience. Does anyone else have this problem? Thanks,Toby.
