HTC brings Bluetooth audio to (almost) any car stereo [MWC 2012]

Wednesday 29th of February 2012 / androidheadlines.com
Smartphones make great media devices, housing tons of music (and even more in the cloud) that you can take on the go. Having access to that music can mean the difference between a nerve-racking commute and one full of chill tunes and good vibes, but unless you own an iPhone it can be hard to find quality accessories to interface a handset’s audio player with your car stereo. HTC is making an attempt to solve that problem with the introduction of a new Bluetooth dongle here at Mobile World Congress 2012.The device itself is tiny, about the size of a thumbdrive, and features only a port for charging (microUSB) and buttons to power on and pair with an Android…Continue Reading HereHTC brings Bluetooth audio to (almost) any car stereo [MWC 2012]Kevin Krause – phandroid.com

Bluetooth Tethering Problem

Tuesday 22nd of June 2010 / droidforums.net
Ok so I bought a netbook for portability, and I want to use bluetooth tethering for its power efficiency and when I first bought the dongle for my computer it worked when I used wifi tether. All of a sudden it decided that windows 7 starter doesn't want to give me the option to connect to my droid through bluetooth. I've tried unpairing and repairing and uninstalling my dongle and redoing the drivers and it still doesn't work. If anyone has a suggestion it would be greatly appreciated. I'm rooted and on 2.1 bugless beast by pete. My dongle is Bluetooth 2.1 USB Micro Adapter by IOGear.

How to Route Audio Through Bluetooth Headphones on Zenithink C71 running Android 403

Thursday 08th of March 2012 / androidtablets.net
Please see my earlier posts for background and check out my photobucket images for extra info = http://photobucket.com/splendid100_zenithinkc71I have added bluetooth to my Zenithink C71 ICS tablet with an adapter/bluetooth dongle. Bluetooth works fine for data transfer but there are problems playing audio through my bluetooth headphones. The headphones are paired and connected and the software claims they are playing media audio however the sound still comes through the tablet speakers and no audio through the headphones. I think I need a software solution to manage the routing of audio playback so it comes through the headphones or speaker according to my choice i.e. via bluetooth headphones when bluetooth dongle is in use and through speakers or wired earphones at other times. Anyone else having similar problems? Anyone with any ideas about a possible solution? I am hoping there is a wonder-app 'out there' I can download and it will solve the problem effortlessly but I suspect I may have to get my hands dirty and write my own app. If I have to write my own app is there anyone else

Hi. I am trying to overcome a connection problem. My RAZR mobile

Wednesday 20th of June 2012 / justanswer.com
Hi. I am trying to overcome a connection problem. My RAZR mobile is seldom recognised by my Toshiba laptop over a wired connection, so to get round the problem I purchased a Livewire bluetooth USB Dongle. The laptop recognises the dongle but I can't find a driver to make a link with the mobile. I want to transfer pictures from mobile to laptop. Can you advise on a bluetooth solution please?Already Tried: Hopefully that's explained in my message

HDMI TV Stick + Bluetooth Dongle problems

Friday 26th of October 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
I purchased one of those Android Internet TV sticks with HDMI. Installed: Android 4.0.4. Here is the product listing and specs: Amazon.com: Mini CX-01 Android PC Android TV Box Android 4.0 Cortex A5 HDMI IPTV Player USB 8GB: Electronics I thought I would be easy to use a wireless keyboard by connecting a Bluetooth dongle (I have a Logitech one that works with Windows and Suse Linux on my PC). However when I plugged it into the USB port of the TV stick nothing happened. I know the USB port on the TV stick is working because it can run a standard keyboard and mouse with wires. Does Android automatically detect Bluetooth dongles (what I would expect) or does it need a special "Android Bluetooth" dongle or additional software drivers or manual setup? (In searching other forums I find I am not the only one with this problem...others have the same experience with various makes and models.)

Bluetooth range with headphones

Wednesday 03rd of August 2011 / androidtablets.net
Hello there,I'm using a set of Plantronics Backbeat 906 bluetooth headphones. It paired without a problem to the tab and works great. The only issue is the range. With either my iphone, PSP, HP laptop with bluetooth dongle, I can be more than 30 feet away from the device (in interiors of course) and still get the sign without almost any glitch. With the Iconia it seems I need to be near the tablet to avoid losing connection. Sometimes I'm just 3 ft away from the tablet and I get cuts on the audio.I don't think it is a problem with the headphones. Is someone experience something similar with the bluetooth range on this tablet? or maybe that's the way it is with the Iconia. It is not a big deal, just want to figure out if it's a hardware problem. Thanks in advance for any help!Regards!
