Best Browser for Droid DNA (Stock vs Chrome vs Firefox)?

Saturday 24th of November 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
So I've been stuck on the Thunderbolt and have primarily used the stock browser. I'm thinking about making a switch when I get a DNA. Has anyone used all Chrome or Firefox on the DNA? How do they compare in terms of load times, rendering, add-ons, speed, etc. Thanks!

How do I know what OS and browser I have?

Sunday 18th of March 2012 / droidforums.net
I have heard terms for Android OS's such as Ice Cream Sandwich, Gingerbread, etc. How can I find out what OS my Droid Bionic has? Also, how do I find out what browser my droid has? What is the best browser for me? Can you have more than one browser installed just like in a PC?Thanks,Rocky

Android App Review: xScope Browser – Droid Life

Tuesday 09th of March 2010 / droid-life.com
The battle for best browser continues on as we take a minute to review one of the power players in the market. We already covered Dolphin 2.0 back in January and since then, had heard many rumors about this other guy named xScope.  The browser was rumored to have a one-fingered multi-touch action.  (Seriously?)  It also seemed to be constantly updated by its developers which is always reason enough to check something out.  There is nothing worse than an app with no support right?Check out xScope in action…

Motorola Razr HD, Maxx HD, and M have Chrome as default browser

Thursday 06th of September 2012 / androidauthority.com
It was a bit of a surprise that Chrome didn’t make an appearance on Android sooner. Google released a version of its high speed browser for Android earlier in the year and it came out of beta at the end of June. It was an optional extra in Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but with the release of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, Chrome became the default browser. The first device to ship with Chrome pre-installed was the Nexus 7.Yesterday we learned that Motorola’s new Razr family, the Motorola Droid Razr HD, the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD, and the Motorola Droid Razr M would ship with Chrome pre-installed. That makes them the first devices running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to have Chrome as the default browser, although the Motorola CEO, Dennis Woodside, was quick to point out that they would all be running Jelly Bean by the end of the year.Chrome is one of the fastest browsers around and it’s certainly one of the best Android browsers, if not the best. The tie in with your desktop Chrome for sharing bookmarks and the ability to sync tabs is awesome. The focus with Chrome is on sp

Best Browser for Thunderbolt

Monday 07th of March 2011 / forums.androidcentral.com
So I may be jumping the gun here as I know a release date hasn't even been given yet, but I (a soon to be first time droid owner) would like some opinions. I've been doing some research on the various browsers (opera mini, dolphin hd/mini, skyfire 3.0), and I'm trying to determine which would be best for me. Basically, I'm wondering what would be the best fit for the Thunderbolt's 768 mb of Ram and 1gz processor. Will the "bigger" browsers (dolphin HD) run noticeably slower? Is there a certain feature on one that I shouldn't miss? Any opinions/past experiences that could help me in my decision? Thanks Site note: How do pop-ups work on droids... do they just get opened in a new tab?

Awesome Browser for Android with Pinch, Zoom

Thursday 26th of November 2009 / forums.androidcentral.com
I may be the last one to know about this, so forgive me. I stumbled upon the best browser for Android today- the Dolphin Browser, and is great on the Droid. It has: -pinch and zoom (although no perfect, it works very well)-is much faster than the stock Android browser or Safari on the iPhone-has gesture support (and you can customize your own gestures-is highly customizable-much better bookmark support-renders pages better. I was blown away. Plus, it is free. In the Android market search for "Dolphin Browser". Here's a link to a page that tells about it: Try it and let me know what you think, good or bad.
