Apps that mess up 3G?

Tuesday 21st of September 2010 / droidforums.net
Hey, do you guys know of any apps that might mess up the 3G connectivity on the Droids?I originally had the first Droid and at one point my 3G disappeared and didn't work and was completely gone. Verizon was stumped. Finally we factory reset my phone and it was fine. No one had answers.Replaced my Droid (other reasons) with a Droid X and the same thing happened! And, surprise, I had to factory reset my phone to get my 3G back. Verizon was, again, stumped. Their best guess to my problem was that I might've installed some app that screwed with my 3G.Does anyone know of something like that? I never downloaded anything that wasn't on the market or from a trusted source, like Rovio or TweetDeck. I'm pretty sure I'm not a victim of Russian messaging viruses. Is there an app out there known to mess with 3G connectivity???

Screenshot apps that work on the Motorola Atrix 4G, they do exist!

Wednesday 06th of April 2011 / androidcentral.com
While Android users have become pretty accustomed to having to root their devices in order to get screenshots to work outside of using the Android SDK, some devices have the ability to do so without root. The Motorola Atrix 4G, however, had no screenshot apps that worked on it at all. Rooted or unrooted -- they just simply did not work and returned errors when running most popular screenshot apps. Having received my Motorola Atrix 4G just yesterday, I went looking again to see if this situation had changed and low and behold -- it had. Two apps that have the ability to take screenshots on the Atrix. One is a free app from XDA forum member mindphaze called Screengrabber. The other, called Screenshot it, is a paid app that was updated in the Android Market and now available with a free trial. Both of which work without having the need to root your device.I tried both out thus far, and while Screengrabber is still in beta form and has very few settings available to it, it is in my personal opinion the one to have if you can get it installed since, AT&T blocked unknown source apps.

Tuesday 28th of June 2011 / androidheadlines.com
You can blame Beau Hindman from Massively for this article and most likely my possible disappearance for the next few hours. After watching his live streaming of Gameloft’s Order and Chaos, he had to go and post an article detailing a new application for mobile devices that, aside from being productive, will let you play games on your mobile device from your PC.Read more……Continue Reading HereSplashtop Remote will let you play that PC MMORPG (or any other game) on your Android devicedroidgamers.com

Battery apps don't work on Kit Kat, N5

Thursday 14th of November 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
So just putting out there that both BetterBatteryStats and Gsam Battery Monitor don't work on the/my N5. Assume this is a widespread/known thing but was just wondering if they is just a "chalk it up to Kit Kat compatibility" thing. I can be a tad obsessive with battery life and trying to figure out if/why I'm losing it for no reason so both those apps are quite handy.
