Friday 03rd of August 2012 / androidauthority.com
The release of Google’s Nexus 7 tablet marked the beginning of affordable ultra-fast tablets on the market. Boasting a powerful quad-core processor and Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset, the Nexus 7 is not just your ordinary tablet. Despite the tablet’s powerful hardware specifications, Google made a lot of changes in the software department. The Google Nexus 7 tablet no longer carries the stock Android browser and users will have to make do with the Chrome Browser.Even though Chrome is a fantastic Internet browser, it doesn’t support Flash and never will in the near future. Those who are looking for the stock browser can finally do so by sideloading an AOSP browser, courtesy of XDA Developers member Censura_Umbra.Continue reading the rest of this guide to learn how to install the AOSP browser on the Google Nexus 7 tablet.WarningThe instructions in this guide are intended for use with the Google Nexus 7. what's been up lately with the stock browser on 4.1.2 aosp roms?

Saturday 01st of December 2012 / droidforums.net
Hey guys, I've searched around the internet but haven't found anything. My stock aosp browser has been bugging out lately. What happens is if i load a heavy page (droid-life does this all the time) the loading goes up most of the way, pauses for a second, and i get booted off fhe browser. It just closes out to my home screen. Then if i open the browser again, its either the page i was just at, which will be fully loaded, or it starts over on google, which then proceeds to refresh over and over again on its own. Odd, it has never done this before. I tried different kernels, roms, factory resets, i wiped everything each time. And it still keeps doing this. I dont get it. It even happens on my friends epic 4g touch, so i dont think its just my device. I've been resorting to using chrome for now, which is somewhat wonky. I would love to remedy this issue. Can anyone help, and importanly, has this been going on with anyone else? Background: i have a rooted, unlocked d2vzw, running paranoid android (latest) and leankernel 1.10 experimental. Cpu is stock, gpu is oc'd.Thanks in advance!Edit:

AOSP or other browser with quick controls without rooting?

Tuesday 22nd of October 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hello all, After the Moto X camera update, I'm considering whether to switch to the Moto X from the HTC One but I wanted to know if there was a browser available on the Moto X that uses quick controls? I find Quick Controls to be an essential feature for one-handed browsing. There was a method posted on XDA-Developers for how to install the AOSP browser (with quick controls) for 4.3 phones and tablets but to my knowledge the Moto X hasn't been updated to 4.3 yet. Thanks in advance!

Android Browser (STOCK) AOSP Browser

Sunday 01st of December 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hello everyone,I love Chrome but I hate that's its not flash enabled.I have been using Puffin for a weeks now to watch my videos, but the most annoying thing is that I cant fast forward. If I try and seek ahead, I will get an error and have to start all the way from the beginning. Also, when i am watching a video and I try to click on the full screen Icon, it wont do anything, but this separate internal full screen icon will appear on the top right. As soon as I do that, my seeking ahead capabilities are over. I used to live the stock browser in my Galaxy S2. It could do everything. I found out that this new browser is stock (click here for info). When I installed it, the movie wont play even when I have flash installed. I read reviews and it seems like it is working with flash, I just dont know how to enable it. Please help.

Anyone know of the stock AOSP browser compatible with this phone?

Thursday 26th of December 2013 / androidforums.com
I despise the menu at the bottom of the browser. If any dev could wipe that from existance or provide a clean stock browser that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
