Android Tablet Sleep Mode Issue

Wednesday 09th of January 2013 / androidtablets.net
Hi guys!I recently bought 7" WM8850-mid tablet, I got no problem with this tablet aside from putting the tab on sleep mode.after pressing the sleep/power button the tab goes into sleep but in a few seconds, it turns on automatically.I got this unit brandnew and it has this issue before I install some apps.I want to know the culprit that cause this issue but BetterBatteryStats app is not compatible with this device.the temporary solution I got is the CPUwake app, but it can only turn the screen off and the system is still on wake mode and running @ 1.2ghz which drains the battery fast.unit specs:WM8850 1.2ghz / 512ram / 8gb storage / Kernel 3.0.8 / ICS 4.0.3

7" MID Tablet - Solved no power up problem but Wifi 'unable to scan networks'

Friday 13th of January 2012 / androidtablets.net
Hi,I have a 7" INCH MID Tablet ANDROID 2.2 VIA 8650 EPAD, green LED / no vibrate which I bought from ebay and which I had left with the orginal setup. This week when I was using the tablet with battery fully charged when suddenly it froze and switched off. when I pressed the power button this remained off and no combination of buttons seemed to work.I decided to take it apart and check if something was loose. After reseating all connectors and pressing the chip in the removable clip on module, I managed to make it boot. While I was at it I also changed the speakers position upwards which significantly improved the loudness. I was happy since even the touch screen was still operational. This was shortlived however when I tried to switch on the wifi. This starts scanning and then gives 'unable to scannetworks' and switches of. 3G dongle worked fine.I was going through all the internet to try to resolve the problem to no avail.Somwhere I found a suggestion to rename wifi_suplicant.conf to .bak. I found this under etc>wifi but could not rename. So I decided to root the tablet which

Nexus 10 (16Gb) completely bricked - Android Tablets - Android Forum - A Community For Android Users and Enthusiasts

Saturday 24th of November 2012 / androidforum.com
- Steps to reproduce the problem.I have seen a couple of other freeze ups from time to time, rather randomly, in various apps, not just Chrome. In this case, I clicked the "All Apps" button in the lower right corner, and it froze.- What happened. The system froze, and then the screen went black. Now I am completely unable to restart the tablet. I does not matter how long I hold down the power button, either alone or combined with the volume up/down, it remains bricked. While connected to USB, it will show the battery charging icon in the middle of screen every 10 seconds (stays on for ~3 seconds) while I'm holding down the power button. As of now the tablet is basically dead. The tablet was running Android 4.2.Any ideas?

Mid X5a Tablet Help

Sunday 16th of December 2012 / androidtablets.net
Hi there, first of all id like to say I am not a complete Newbie, I have been fixing Laptops/Computers for the last 5 years. How ever, Friday just gone (14/12/2012) a customer brought a Mid X5A Tablet (Running Android) to me to have a look at. While having a play around, the battery decided it would be a good idea to run out, so as any person would do, I put the Tablet onto Charge to find the charger was not working, luckily i found a spare charger lying around which fit the tablet perfect. The problem I have know is that the tablet has been on charge for approximatley 19-0 hours now (Red Light Showing near Power Button to show it is Charging). How Long do these Tablets have to charge for before they are fully charged? I can plug the Tablet into a Laptop or Computer by USB but it comes up on the Tablets Screen, "Low Power, Power Off" (with a picture of a Power Symbol above). I just think its a bit strange how its been on charge for 19-20 hours and still wont power on, surely there charge in the battery by now? Even if its not 100%. Any help would be fantastic as this is the

Need help switching tablet on

Thursday 25th of April 2013 / androidtablets.net
HiI have a MID ANDROID tablet. Its 7 inch mod.My initial problem is that I cant't switch it on, the power button is broken and the power switch on the mb has come loose totally. Is there any other way to switch it on??When I connect the charger the tablet pc starts to charge and shows the android battery charging icon mid screen for a few seconds then black screen. I was told to connect the USB to my macbook and that should power it on but it doesn't, just charge sign again. I really need to get this working ASAP and will only open and solder the button back on the mb when I know its working. Please help me with this if you know how to power it on without using the button. Thanks for reading.

Zenithink Tablet won't Power Down!

Tuesday 05th of March 2013 / androidtablets.net
Hi everyone, We have ZT-280, C-91 Tablet...running gingerbread 2.3.4...I think. Our problem.....the table won't power down! We cannot shut it off with pressing the power button, for any length of time! I did a reset a couple of times with a paper clip. Still no good! So...we have to leave it on until the battery is depleted. I plug the charger in and it comes on and charges fine. But, the software shutdown screen will not show, when pressing power button. I did find an Android "shut down/re-start" app, but the Tablet needs to be Rooted to use it. Which brings me to my second question. Has anyone found a 1 click rooting app which our ZT-280's respond to? I haven't tried it yet, but was reading where they're is Z4-root, Gingerbreak, Super one click, & some others. I'm kinda new to these tablets, and don't want to "Brick" it as they say! Thank you! Douglas

Android tablet battery/power button problem?

Tuesday 20th of August 2013 / androidforums.com
So I have an Asus tablet and it has always worked fine. Then yesterday it just went black while I was in the middle of using it so I just assumed the battery had died and left it. This morning I went to put It on charge and it had 80% so I took it off and the screen went immediately black and would not turn on, even when I held the power button, I only got an occasional flash but never turned back, but still worked fine when it was on charge. Just now I plugged it in to use in a lecture and it started up fine when on charge but now it keeps going black every five seconds even when on charge. Anyone have any ideas?

Android tablet turns itself off in standby mode / By plugging power cable battery shows 50%

Sunday 03rd of August 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Dear all, I have PC with Windows 8.1 Ent., 32-bit, and Saphir Media Tablet SMT-7-3G with android 4.2.2. Tab specs: Dual Core 1.6 GHz, 1GB, 16 GB internal memory, 3G. 1-Tablet turns itself off in standby mode occasionally and does not turn on. While battery was showing 70%. When I charge the battery in off mode it shows charging by turning on the yellow LED. When it is full charged yellow will turn in to green LED. But did not turn on. So I found a trick to turn it on. Press power button for 10 sec and wait. Then pressing again for 5 sec will turn it on. But I am still facing the problem. 2-When I see message 14% remaining battery, I plug the power in tab and suddenly it shows 50% and charging. DU Battery Saver app is installed now. I had Battery Doctor (Battery Saver) installed before DU Battery Saver. Both apps have the same problem. a-Is there any problem with this behavior?b-What actions should take to resolve it?Kindly help to resolve both of the above issues.
