Bypassing email security certificate [Resolved]

Wednesday 12th of October 2011 / androidforums.com
I am using stock android email app on my evo3d and the security certificate on our companies email server has changed. The stock email app no longer recognizes this as a valid certificate. I tried deleting the account but it gave me an error stating the incoming mail server does not support ssl. K9 mail works but it gave me the option to bypass the certificate. How do I accept/bypass the current certificate in the stock email app. Thanks!

Cannot add Exchange 2010 mailbox to EMAIL options jellybean 4.1.2

Friday 28th of June 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I cannot add Exchange 2010 mailbox to the EMAIL options in jellybean 4.1.2. This works fine on every other iPhone device I have setup for where I work. I'm the IT Admin and chose to go with Android for my first smartphone and now I'm having problems doing the most basic things. The usual error I'm getting is this:"couldn't finishthe server responded with an error. check your username and password then try again" I have done this countless times and know that the username/password are correct, however I have seen discrepancies on the web about how these should be typed in for Android phones. Also, when I try to add the mailbox to EMAIL on the phone, if I do not select "Accept all SSL certificates" I get an error stating there is something wrong with the SSL certificate. When I do select "Accept all SSL certificates" the SSL error goes away and the above server error message displays instead. What am I doing wrong? Does my phone need to be wiped or updated or what?
