ASUS Transformer AiO (all-in-one) to launch in Q2 for a starting price of $1,299

Thursday 07th of March 2013 / talkandroid.com
Do you remember that dual-boot Windows 8/Android beast that ASUS unveiled last June? Well it’s finally going to be released in North America during the second quarter for a starting price of $1,299. Sounds steep, but not when you consider what you’re getting for it.//The Transformer AiO (all-in-one) is the Transformer of all Transformers. It’s essentially a desktop and tablet all-in-one, but to take it one step further, it utilizes Windows 8 and Android 4.1. The 18.4-inch IPS (1920 x 1080) display can be detached from the PC Station to become a full standalone Android Jelly Bean tablet, but when docked to the PC Station it’s a full Windows 8 desktop.Lets start with the PC Station side of things. There are a number of options and configurations. It can come with either a Core i3, i5, or i7, your choice of 4GB or 6B of RAM, and up to a 2TB HDD. You will also get NVIDIA GeForce┬« GT 730M graphics, a┬áDVD-RW optical drive, 3-in-1 memory card reader, 4 USB 3.0 ports, 1 USB 2.0 port, Bluetooth 4.0, and HDMI-out. It utilizes the 18.4-inch tablet as the display (docke

Aurora ICS 4.0.3 Mobiz V.2 Modified to Work on Coby 7042 and 8042 - Page 6

This rom seem to have an affinity for landscape for all things, the boot and auto rotation deals seem connected.Correction: its not all the the tablet friendly boot animations in that list, out of the four i tried 3 failed and brought up the default. I know one for sure worked on the stock. If you feel like trying it vampirefo its tablet machine azul in rom toolbox boot animations. I have tried just copying

How to increase speed/stability on generic ICS budget brands

Sunday 30th of December 2012 / androidforums.com
Seems quite a few people both here and in my areas are buying up the cheap bargain tablets which are coming with Android 4.0, dubbed Ice Cream Sandwich, or as it's referred to here, ICS, and then have various problems. i buy these things to test, dispose of if need be, or play with. i learn a lot of different versions of Android on them and since they're easily replaced it's better than messing around with an expensive tablet and bricking it. the deal with these cheaper models is that they just do not have the amount of RAM necessary for proper performance and stability of Android 4.0. they normally have at best, 512MB of DDR III RAM. which is more meant for Android 2.3 than 4.0. running out of box, Android 4.0 can consume as much as 325MB RAM just sitting there doing nothing, making it a very laggy tablet that will crash, throw an ANR dialog, or even dump you back to whatever boot animation is put onto it as if it's rebooting itself.the key here is in the settings, under Developer Options. there is one setting here that will help considerably and on a D2 and Emerson/Polaroid model,

Coby Tablet stuck in boot loop.

Monday 30th of December 2013 / androidforums.com
Hello everyone,Nice to meet you all.I have a Coby MID8065 8" tablet with Android 4.0.3 that is about six month old that won't boot past the initial "coby" screen. I have tried resetting it by the reset button on the right but it didn't help. I also tried holding the power and volume button down ( and vol up just in case ) but tablet will not get past the Coby screen. I have also tried hooking up to my PC with the USB cord but my PC will not recognize it. I have watch several vids on youtube and read several suggestions from other sites but still nothing. I know Coby has gone out of business so I can't use the warranty. Any Ideas? Thanks in advance

locks up at android screen

Friday 30th of May 2014 / androidtablets.net
I have a SuperPad VI that will not boot beyond the Android screen. The specs state that it is a V10 and the parameters are: Processor--VC882 Embedded 1GHz ARM Cortex A8, Memory is 1 GB DDR3, Storage is 4 GB. It shows as a fj_vortex running Android ver. 4.0.3, the Kernel is ver. 3.0.8. Holding the menu and power buttons, I get the Android System Recovery <3e> screen, 5 options appear: reboot system now, apply update from external storage, wipe data/factory rest, wipe cache partition, and apply uupdate from cache. I have tried to execute a factory reset, wipe cache partition, and reboots in various combinations with no success. The booklet that arrived with the tablet has instructions for a firmware upgrade. It suggests to run the upgrade tool FWDN( for Windows XP), the upgrade files are listed as: lk.rom & tcc8900_mtd.img. I have searched the web for these files with no success. Can someone provide a link to the file locations. Or can I install a version of firmware that will run on this processor. Also, I would like to maintain the GPS functionality if possible. Is there a
