Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean now available for Motorola Electrify 2

Tuesday 19th of March 2013 / android.gs
Motorola Electrify 2 was launched last year in August on U.S. Cellular and is now ready for an upgrade to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. As you probably know, the other device under Electrify name, the X model, was upgraded as well to Android Jelly Bean, so this upgrade comes as a natural action to align all models to the same OS. Even if this is an OTA upgrade, it won’t be available right away, but instead U.S. Cellular decided to make it a phases OTA, which means some of you will get the upgrade sooner than others, depending on the luckiness. In case you wonder, the firmware is 9.8.3O-118-14 and will bring some awesome features, specific to Jelly Bean: expanded notifications, Voice Search, Google Now, Project Butter and so on. In order to apply the update you’ll have to go to settings and check for updates, in case the upgrade didn’t popped-up yet. The upgrade process will restart a few times your smartphone, and after that you can enjoy the Jelly Bean OS at its finest. In case you have some issues while upgrading, let us know and we are going to guide you trough the process, but ke

Thanks - Android HelpA post from an employee is not official confirmation. That's all im saying. like I said, id be surprised if it changes from FRF50. If im wrong ill stand corrected and you can all have a good laugh at my expense.I can't see any major changes with the new build, if that is the case. Of course they will fix the minor bugs that followed, but I can't see the final build being any different than that of the manual updated version floating around. There are WiFi problems, SD Card issues and other known issues that users have reported. Hopefully they release the OTA update soon. Maybe after the Apple conference?! :nexusx:

How to force OTA update??? - Page 2

Sunday 21st of November 2010 / android.net
Understand what the update does but not having this latest update will it stop the future update of gingerbread???? That is my only concern.PSI have been in a supposed HSPA+ area for some time now but only getting about 950 kbps on download. The other day every web page I tried to download they were dragging for almost a minute before finally hooking up. Called T-Moble and they knew nothing, you know how it goes. About 2 hours later I tried another web page and holy crap it linked up instantly. Tried a speed test and holy crap I'm getting crazy speeds on my Nexus One. My speeds are ranging from 2900 to 6000 kbps on download and about 1400 on the upload. Every day they are getting faster and faster. Live in a suburb or Boston. Sooner or later our speeds will be off the charts. THANK YOU T-MOBILE. Vinny
