Alarm Clock Not Going Off

Wednesday 28th of April 2010 / talkandroid.com
I have an alarm set to go off at 6am Monday-Friday. It has been working just fine and wouldautomatically go off each day, but then allof a sudden it stopped working. Now I have togo in every day and manually uncheck the box to turnthe alarm off, then re-check it again in orderto get it to work. Does anyone know why this is happening? It seems like something about the auto set up isn't working right anymore.

Alarm issue NOT related to searched threads (I think)

Wednesday 30th of March 2011 / forums.androidcentral.com
Had the Facinate for 2 days. First night that bright "charge complete" screen woke me up, I unplugged the phone, alarm went off fine. Last night I put the screen face down so that would not wake me. I always set a back alarm on my clock especially when I get a new phone. Alarm did not go off. When the back up woke me, the phone had the "fully charged" screen on. When I unplugged it, the time was correct. And it said on the alarm widget "today at 7:30" even tho it was 7:35. I have no taskmanagers on the phone. Using a retro clock widget not associated with the alarm program (which is alarmdroid). question is does the fully charged screen prevent the alarm from going off? Could not find a thread that specifically addressed this issue. Thank you.

Alarm Clock Not Going Off

Monday 30th of November 2009 / forums.androidcentral.com
Love the phone, but have a problem with the alarm clock. Its my second HTC Eris (had to swap it out for some minor issues). The problem is I set the alarm clock the night before, and it doesn't go off. Its almost like it forgets. I made sure the volume is set to high and that its not on PM or anything like that. When I try to test it out, like setting it for a few minutes from now, it goes off fine, but when I set it for like 4+ hours it doesn't go off at all. I'm a heavy sleeper and need to set 2 alarms! Any help will definitely be appreciated! Thanks

Alarm Clock not turning off

Monday 03rd of May 2010 / androidforums.com
Hi Everyone,I use the alarm clock on the Incredible as my main method of waking me up in the morning. I also have a tendency to hit the snooze button quite a few times before I can get my lazy butt out of bed. I've noticed on 3 occasions now that when the alarm is going off and I try to hit snooze button or "dismiss" button and it's not available. So the alarm is going off and I'm frantically trying to find a button to shut it off. Pressing every button doesn't work so I have to finally shut the phone off.Has anyone else had this issue as well? I've tried to replicate it sitting in front of me a few minutes ago and I can't do it. On one occasion, I noticed that I got a text message when I was trying to find the "dismiss" button. NOt sure if the text message alert had something to do with it.

Snooze function on the alarm stops working when new app is installed.

Monday 01st of November 2010 / forums.androidcentral.com
I use my alarm fuction in the Fascinate to wake up every morning. I don't have a problem with the alarm not going off as some have reported. I do have a problem when hitting (or sliding) the snooze feature. I noticed when I install anything new on the phone, the snoozing feature will just not work the next morning. After hitting snooze, the alarm won't go off again until the next day. Yes, I have the alarm set to 5 snoozes 5 minutes apart. At first I thought I was going crazy or my sleep was really heavy, by I've experimented with it, and I was able to reproduce the problem. I know now that when I hit snooze and the function is working, the alarm under the "Clock" menu will be yellow with "Zs" coming out of it. When the problem is occuring, after hitting the snooze function, the clock will appear green. I'm getting so paranoic, that I delete and create a new alarm every night just to make sure it will work in the morning. By the way, if you create one every night it will always work. I hate this workaround though. Can anyone help? Thanks

Help with Deep Sleep - No calls coming in or set alarms going off.

Monday 24th of June 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hello I've recently started using a Samsung S4 after years of having Iphones so I am fairly new to Android. I have an issue with my S4 going into deep sleep, this is when its charging over night or there is long periods of non use through the day. When this happens no phone calls can come through and any alarm clock that has been set doesn't go off. It seems like it turns off everything. I don't mind the phone going to sleep, but I would like to receive calls and to wake me up when the alarm needs to go off. I have looked through all the S4 settings but cant find where I can manage the deep sleep. Yesterday I downloaded the "Deep Sleep Battery Saver App" hoping it would over ride the sleep mode currently set in the S4. Unfortunately this did not work and my alarm did not go off again. I dont know if I have a fault with my phone as I cant seem to find anyone with the same issue. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Thursday 27th of June 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hi there, For the past few weeks I've had a new problem with my stratosphere... the alarm doesn't go off! It's set correctly, but just doesn't go off. Thank goodness I have a backup alarm clock set... Just this morning, I had it set for 0800 and it never sounded. Anyone have any ideas?? This is just one of many reasons I'm counting down the days till 8/8 till I can get a new phone!! Allison

Nexus 4 Clock issues

Thursday 29th of August 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
My phone is my alarm clock. But the last couple days. The alarm is not going off...well it is going off but it is not responding. It puts the going off symbol in the notification bar and as soon as I unlock my phone it says that the clock is not responding. I try to click it and same thing. Only thing to do is to shut down the phone and boot it back up. Any ideas as to what could be causing this clock issue? Posted via Android Central App

Can my alarm clock do this?

Monday 09th of September 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Ok, I hate every android alarm I have found. What I want is one like my iPhone. I don't want repeating days. I want to be able to set three or four times but have no days setting. I work irregular schedule and I want to turn on an alarm for six am and have it go off at the NEXT six am. Not the day after and not six days from now because I forgot to set the day of week button to tomorrow. I am sick of having the alarm going off on my Tuesday off because it was set for last Tuesday when I worked. Is there an app that clones the iPhone alarm clock function?

Phantom alarm keeps going off fter deletion

Friday 27th of December 2013 / androidforums.com
Festive greetings to everyone. I have a problem with the alarm on my Nexus 7 v2, which I've tried to switch off over the holidays, but it keeps going off every morning. This is what I've tried so far, in order (one per day):Setting the alarms to 'inactive' via the slidersDeleting the alarmsClearing the data for all apps that might still have them cached (Clock, Timely, Dashclock, Sleep as an Android)Deleting Timely and Sleep as an AndroidSetting the alarm volume to zero in ClockDisabling Clock I have read through the two other threads I've found here describing similar (though not identical) issues, and am at a loss as to what else try. The alarm extension for Dashclock still shows that the alarm is set, though if I click on it to open Clock it says there are none defined. Please can someone help; I'd been hoping to catch up on some much-needed sleep over the break, and this is driving me spare. I don't really want to have to factory reset the tablet and fence it on eBay, but short of switching it off and leaving it in a soundproof box each night, this currently seems like my best opt
